Carol Sings It Perfectly!, December 18, 2008

Carol Kidd MBE is a singer but better known for her jazz interpretations to impress the likes of the late Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. I get goosebumps listening to her voice interpret musical classics. I feel like that I am hearing it for the first time even though the songs could be a hundred years old. Carol can make something old become new again. In her recent compact disc, she strays away from the standard Gerswhin songs to something different. Regardless, I think Carol can sing anything to perfection except opera. It's amazing that she hasn't gotten more attention in America in the birthplace of jazz. In fact, I would love to see her making the talk show rounds and singing her voice out to stunned crowds. Carol is one of the world's best singers that isn't famous yet but she should be on the lips of every household.
