Enlightening and thought provoking.,
By James P. Bronkema, Ph.D. (Coastal Maine) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dreamwalker: The Path of Sacred Power (Paperback)
Mary Summer Rain has captured, and proliferated in writing, the true nature of the quintessential lucid dreamer, the dreamwalker. For those others who have reviewed this book and have found it to not possess the pragmatic answers they expected, be reminded that not all questions in this walk are answered. "When the student is ready, the teacher will come."

An excellently written book with a story that kept me fully captivated enough that I couldn't put the book down. Mary Summer Rain's writing abilities are fantastic and she kept me very interested and captivated through to the very last page.

This is my favorite of the series. It is when the teacher comes and teaches the student how to dreamwalk. It is shamanism demonstrated through an amazing teacher Brain Many Heart. The author has a wonderful way of describing the Colorado mountains and I was sucked into the book and could not put it down. Love it. It is and easy read.

I love Mary Summer Rain!,
This review is from: Dreamwalker: The Path of Sacred Power (Paperback)
As an author of several books on shamanism and energy healing, Seeing in the Dark: Claim Your Own Shamanic Power Now and in the Coming Age, Energy for Life: Connect with the Source (Next Step), and Inner Power: Six Techniques for Increased Energy & Self-Healing I have a deep appreciation for vivid, well organized writing. Mary Summer Rain is an outstanding storyteller and vision weaver. I love reading every one of her books over and over again!

Interesting subject matter, but somewhat evasive with info.,

This review is from: Dreamwalker: The Path of Sacred Power (Paperback)
Although I really enjoyed this book, I felt that much of the information she presented was alluded to and not explained to the reader. This left me bothered. I wanted a braver approach to the material that she tackles. Metaphysical or Spiritual books lack in effectiveness when the author is the only one experiencing the revelations. I didn't feel I was given a clear opportunity to relate. I was hoping for some more profound insights...the 'aha' to come. This was the first book that I have read by Mary Summer Rain, and it is one of her earliest works. I would be interested to read one of her more recent publications, since her subject matter is so interesting, and I enjoy her straight-forward style of writing.

Enlightened Parents?,

I thought it was very unwise to leave three girls home alone just for the sake of a weekend camp-out. If these girls are young enough to come jump in bed with you, then it is highly unlikely that they are teenagers. I enjoyed Spirit Song and Phoenix Rising. However, when this book started out with the story of leaving the children home alone, it certainly made me question Mary Summer Rain's judgment!
