4.0 out of 5 stars Very comphrensive book - CDROM has some problems, March 31, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dreamweaver 8 Bible (Paperback)
The Simulations folder on the CDROM included with the book contains some broken links, probably due to a production problem and it is my understanding that this will soon be corrected.

This book is one of the most comprehensive books for Dreamweaver 8 that I have found so far and I have looked at many of them. I am under a tight schedule for several new websites, Dreamweaver 8 is completely new to me and I am not at all worried thanks to this book and its very accomplished author! My thanks to Joe Lowery. ...now, I guess I need another copy. This thing is too big to carry between work and home!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for Novices, July 2, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dreamweaver 8 Bible (Paperback)
An encyclopedia of helpful information but, this will not be helpful to a novice trying to learn the program for the first time.
For that get Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Visual Quickstart Guide (Negrino and Smith).

5.0 out of 5 stars good comprehensive book, January 18, 2007

this is a good book to get a great background on DW8 and understand creating websites. If you don't have any background in HTML or webpages, the size of the book may overwhelm you but I found it very useful to get a comprehensive understanding of DW. It helped my to get concepts correct. The examples were broken on my CD but after a little playing around, I got them to work.
