I am a semi-beginner. This book is very easy for me to understand. It anticipates my questions and explains and defines from the ground up. I had bought a more expensive book on the subject, but this one is much more useful for me. I think that it will be helpful as a reference book after I get into the details of doing the website.

This is a great book. it really helped me to figure out how to use Dreamweaver. I use this book as a reference to look up the information I need. It has information for the beginner as well as for the expert. It has good chapter headings and a very detailed index, to help you find what you are looking for. I highly recommend this book. It is well worth the price.

Excellent book, it has everything you will ever need regarding DW. It is not supposed to be a straight foward reading book, it's more like a reference book. Perfect to look at in those moments where you just cant find that tutorial that you are looking for.

I had already built a basic website using "The Missing Manual". But I wanted to build a better site and the book I was using seemed limited. I ordered the CS4 Bible and now wish I had started out with this one. I had been struggling with all kinds of problems with template errors and confusing CSS instructions. This book cleared them all up. Not only did it explain why I was having the errors I was seeing, but it explained how to prevent them.

Normally, this is not the kind of book I sit down with and just read. I usually just flip to what I want. But I decided to try out their introduction to Dreamweaver - the features and strengths. Then I *really* wished I had started out with this book. I never knew just how powerful the program was. The other book was useless compared to this one. The language is clear and easy. It doesn't fly over my head and it doesn't "talk down" to me.

It reminds me of college textbooks in the organization and thoroughness of the content, complete with pictures and examples. I will be reading most of this book. It's a big book though so it will take me a while.

The only down side is I didn't see a section for working with mobile sites. But that is probably because this book is more oriented towards the technical challenge of doing what you want rather than offering style guides. I already know what I want my full site to look like so it's not a limitation I'm bothered by. Once I pick up a book with advice for the mobile version I'm sure I will be going back to this book for instructions on how to implement the changes.

All in all, well worth the money.
