This is a handy attachment for doing small detail work with your Dremel. It attaches directly to the newest Dremel, not sure if it mounts to the earlier versions.
The first one I bought came with a full kit and I couldn't get it to work. The one "flaw" is that the tip (which is rotated to turn it on and off) had fallen off during shipping and was hidden in the lower area of the kit I purchased. Since I was not familiar with the operation of the light I thought it was just stuck so tried forcing it to turn when the whole time the little end piece was missing. I ended up breaking it and had to order a new one. It wasn't until the new one came in that I discovered the reason my first one didn't work! After seeing the extra piece on the new light, I searched the kit and found the little end piece for the original light. I just thought I would add this information in case someone else has the same trouble - the little end piece doesn't fit real tightly so it can get loose and fall off without noticing. Possibly, one could wrap a little teflon tape on the threads to snug it up a bit - this would probably eliminate losing the rotating piece on the end.

At first I got this just to fill that empty void in my XPR case, but it has come in handy for more than just dremel use.
There have been several times when I needed to get a light into a very tight place and this thing just fit right in there and still gave me plenty of room to get a look. One example was with my central air unit. I didn'y want to pull off the entire back of the AC but there was a small plate about a 1/4 inch wide that slid off, so I slid off that plate and stuck this dremel light in there and was able to see perfectly into the unit the see what the problem was before going any further. All the problem was was a small piece of plastic that got in there somehow and I was able to get it with one of those long claw pickup tools through the slot with the light clipped to the edge. If it wasn't for this little dremel light I would have pulled my central air all apart to find that annoying buzzing.

I bought my son a dremel tool. This made a really nice attachment. He really liked the fact that the light hooked on and was adjustable.

I bought this light to illuminate the area around the needle of a sewing machine. It is perfect for the job: very small, adjustible, doesn't heat up (because it's an LED), and gives plenty of illumination. It should work with almost any tool or machine.
