Ok, It was driving me crazy that I couldn't find what this actually came with. So I ordered the 160 piece (710-05) accessory kit just in case. I honestly, probably, didn't need to do that. The Dremel Itself comes with a few accessories that will get most people started and satisfied. If you need a specific tool, then buy that one. Without Further ado, the content of my package.
- 1 black 2 snap box which doubles as a carrying/storage case. Decent quality.
- 3 1-1/4"x1/8" Cut-Off Wheels
- 1 3/16"x1/8" Silicon Carbide Grinding Stone
- 1 3/8"x1/8" Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone (Cylinder)
- 1 3/8"x1/8" Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone (Cone)
- 1 3/4"x1/8" Bristle Brush
- 2 1/2"x1/8" Felt Polishing Wheel
- 1 Polishing Compound (bar)
- 1 1/2"x1/8" Sanding Drum Mandrel
- 3 1/2"x1/8" 60 Grit Sanding Bands
- 3 1/2"x1/8 120 Grit Sanding Bands
- 3 1/2"x1/8 240 Grit Sanding Bands
- 1 1/8" Shank Mandrel (This one looks like a screw on top of a mandrill, for felt tips with no hole in the middle)
- 1 1/8" Shank Mandrel (This one is an unscrew loader for bits/tips with holes in them)
- 1 Bit Wrench
- 1 Easy Twist Cap
- 1 Dremel 8v Variable speed Rotary Tool
- 1 1 Hour Charger
- 1 8v Lithium Ion Battery
- 1 User Guide / Instruction booklet. Does provide some helpful hints for first timers / Seasoned pros.

Hope this helps your decision. The Tool itself is amazing so far and the only reason I gave it a 4 is because initially it seemed as though the bits did not fit into the shaft. It took a wee bit of muscle to actually get the bit in there, and the instructions provided no such information. I thought I had gotten the wrong bits at first.

Dremel makes a good product, really the only acceptable rotary tool...

This 8v unit is about the right power to do dogs nails , has a variable speed so you can start out slow to not scare them.... contrary to another reviewers opinion, I don't find it too powerful to do small dogs with.

I previously had a 7.8 volt Dremel NiCd and had battery issues a lot, they would wear out quickly, discharge quickly, when I bought Dremel branded replacements they might or might not fit correctly, this new Li Ion design solves all that.

Pro:
- Li Ion means no battery memory, longer life, shorter recharge times
- new battery plug in design is far superior to the previous NiCd design which rattled, made noise, was hard to latch.... this one fixes all of that
- good size considering the power
- a case and plenty of bits included
- variable speed so you can slowly work up speed without scaring your dog

Con
- none yet

enjoy!

This is a very versatile tool, I bought it really not knowing what I would use it for, but I have found many applications. I have had it for almost 2 years now and I couldn't imagine not having one now. It is a great buffing tool, shaping, sharpening, for all types of material, cutting steel, plastic. It also is great to engrave or mark tools and close carving with other items with the metal point. I used it to restore my 15 year old natural gas grill last summer, it worked great with the wire brush did a great job cleaning the grates and burners. If you do buy it, make sure to get the accessory kit and another battery. Your battery will die if you use it for 20 minutes, and it takes about an hour to fully recharge. I am considering buying a plug in model for my work bench, that way when I do extended projects, I will not have to deal with the battery. One issue I have is the larger buffing wheels are only included in the large 30.00 dollar kit, I have bought 2 of them. I restore bicycles and the buffing wheels are great to buff and polish aluminum parts. I give it a 4 star rating, it would be 5 stars, but my kit only had one battery and I would like to be able to buy the one inch buffing pads separate.

Nothing wrong with this Dremel--it works great as a household tool. I bought it to do my dogs' nails because I was tired of the smaller Dremels running out of power so quickly. Unfortunately, this 8v Dremel is too powerful for my smaller dogs--I wouldn't use it on a dog smaller than 30lbs.

I had bought one of these battery-operated Dremels in the past and destroyed it by cutting through things it should not have been used for -- like cutting off a very thick 3/4" hardened stainless steel rod. That was what finally took its toll on it, but it had already given me much, much hard use prior to that. Then I bought a corded version 300 of the Dremel tool, thinking it would have more power. Wrong! I didn't like it -- very noisy, not all that powerful, and the cord was a nuisance. Today I bought the 8100 and using it a moment ago reminded me of how handy and powerful the LiIon setup is. This is an excellent tool, and well worth the money. Just close your eyes and buy it!

Kit arrived on time, as advertised. Bought this mainly to have a tool to trim our dog's claws, but will surely find other uses for it. This tool will pay for itself after a few more uses.
