I have been using dremel tools for many years. I carve with them and do many other things. This is a very handy addtion to your tool if you do carving or any art work. My hand doesn't get as tired and it's easier to control your details. I would recommend it.

As with other people commenting on this grip, I also have used the Dremel for years. This is really a must have item. If you're doing any sort of detail work for an extended amount of time, your hands and fingers will tire. With this simple handle/grip, the weight now rests on the area between your thumb, first finger and more towards the top of your hand. It makes the Dremel look almost like a tattoo artist's gun. The torque developed by the spinning armature can make the Dremel hard to maneuver for detailed work. Your ability to control a fine tip like an engraving bit are way easier with less of a tendency for the bit to wander on the work surface. I don't know why nobody thought of this sooner. It will make your life a bit easier but $15 is a bit much for plastic handle. My Model 3500 fits ok not great. I suspect Dremel designed this to fit all their main models adequately but not perfectly.
This Detailer's Grip and the "key-less" chuck are probably the most useful accessories from Dremel.

My biggest issue with the new cordless Dremel was the weight and I have a small hand. This attachment made all the difference for me and I use it constantly with everything. Highly recommend for new users of the Dremel to help control the tool's movement.

I bought this detailer's grip hoping it would help with small work with my Dremel tool. But I've found that it has limited usefulness. It's good for holding the unit steady if you are trying to work on a fixed object with tiny bits, but after having it for many months now, I find that I hardly ever use it. And it will not fit on the Dremel with any other attachements installed. I guess it has it's place in the tool box, as I said for trying to use tiny bits on fixed objects, but is not as useful as I first imagined. Kind of expensive for what it is really. But I guess if you are trying to do some detail work and find the motor awkward to hold, it is helpful, by letting you put both hands on the unit. So I rate it at 3 stars because it does serve a purpose, but has limited usefulness. I could have lived without it.

I couldn't believe when I received this grip. It seats seamlessly to the Dremel tool (3000) and balances so well making it so easy to engrave. Along with the grip comes an engraving bit, a collet and a stencil of letters. I haven't used the stencil yet, but the grip is great!

Really is helpful for me with arthritis in my hands and wrists. Great add to the Dremel collection to help people with such conditions. In fact, I think it would help anybody to stabilize the toolwhen using it..

This is a very nice addition to the Dremel line for detailed work. Makes keeping control of the work easier. With this you don't need to attach the flex wand (which is a great product as well) and still have more control than with the rotary tool by itself. If you want more control, buy one.

Great for more precise handling of the Dremel tool. Also protects from heat generated by the tool and allows for greater air flow through the tool.
