Dremel-made products are still of excellent quality. Shipping was fast and item well packed. Works will with new battery-powered dremel tool. EZ lock feature is very helpful and faster for those of us starting to get arthritis in our hands.
Bought this kit to get the course buffs to clean up the battery tray on my 68 Ford which had some rust spots on it. Needless to say, the kit itself is a good value and comes in a nice box which is convenient for storing dremel tool attachments. The course buffs worked great to clean off old paint and rust from the tray and prepped the tray for respray. However, one warning, they don't last too long if you apply alot of pressure using them so you'll want to have more than a few on hand if you have a job to do on metal or rust.
Dremel accessories are more expensive than clones, but their quality is generally better and the extra money is usually worth it. The price for this set was very reasonable and I wanted to try these out. The accessories are just what I expected. The right quality and performance for Dremel-sized accessories. I don't expect these to be heavy duty, but they do the job that I do expect from them.
Don't let the average rating deter you, as expanded on below. It's a good small kit selection for a discounted price compared to individual, and gives you the storage and sorting for them also. I can have so many Dremel bits around and it's really that convienient to have extra sorting/storage sometimes! The accessories as always work for me have been great for their intended use and operated properly. I haven't purchased this kit (yet from Amazon) but have had 6 out of 7 of the offerings prior.
The mediocre rating is ridiculous for basing it on a lack of the EZ-lock attachment; it'd just add extra expense to every buyer of which already has one which is plentiful at a guess already due to their tools initial bundle or potentially having bought it for other EZ-lock based accessories. If each supplement kit included one, I'd have hundreds myself... also, it isn't shown in the picture as contained and isn't listed in the description as included so I don't see Amazon at blame.
Rating it lowly for the EZ-lock attachment system (that in my experience, has been flawless and far easier and quicker than it would be otherwise to switch attachments) being misinterpreted seemingly as some sort of "easy don't have to pay attention to detail" is purely ridiculous. Power tools are a far cry from toys like they're treated as sometimes, and should always be used safely and as intended by design, which generally involves reading a small amount to see and confirm how.
