When I was done installing 12in. ceramic tile on job I was working on, I noticed that in many areas the mortar had filled in the grout joints. I used my Dremel Multi-Max with the 1/8-in. carbide grout blade. It performed great. It removed everything much faster than using a grout remover hand tool. One thing to be careful of is that if you don't have the blade perfectly square with the tile you can chip the face. Take your time and keep your hands steady.

I respect Dremel tools and their accessories. They have held up well even when used hard. I got the Dremel Multi-Max for Christmas two years ago. I re-grouted the tile in our kitchen this past year and I would have given up if not for the 1/8-inch Carbide Grout Blade. Our kitchen tile is the 4", so there was a lot of grout lines. I used up a 2 of the 1/8" blades. Amazon's price beat both Lowe's and Home Depot. Any one who cares to compare Fein or Rockwell blades has to remember that, yes, they may last longer. I can buy almost THREE of these blades for one of theirs. Fein Thick Carbide Blade, 63502128015

Used to remove the grout from an area with approx. 1/2" joints. It was so easy and relatively clean. It would be so easy to use this on smaller joints to just take out the top portion in order to "regrout". This would give your entire kitchen a makeover (could even go back with epoxy stain resistant grout for easy care). Love this tool all together - so handy during my wood floor installation. Wished I would have bought it earlier in the project.

Blade does what it is supposed to!,

My grout removal project was about 240 feet of sanded grout which used 2 of the blades, a little pricey but worked well at $25-30. Some of the other manufactures blades are a full circle giving about another third more blade area to use. This is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars not 5.

Carbide Grout Blade Works Great,

I previously have owned a Fein and a Rockwell tool but recently switched to Dremel. The Rockwell is a more beefy tool but the Dremel accessories seem to last dramatically longer, especially these carbide grout blades. If you are doing alot of grout removal work I would recommend these blades. Dremel makes 2 sizes for grout lines as well and I haven't really seen that with other brands which is surprising to me.

This grout blade works great for removing grout between tightly-spaced ceramic tiles. I have also used it to cut holes through plaster with minimum dust displacement and breakage. I use my Dremel Multi-Tool frequently, and this blade, along with the 1/16 inch carbide grout blade, makes a nice addition to my selection.

i needed this to grind out the grount around some damaged tiles. it tackeled the job with little effort. after grinding out the damaged grout, i switched the dremelmax to the scrapper blade to get under the damaged tiles and work loose the mortar underneath. worked like a charm. very happy with this product.

I got this as a package deal and used it to remove the grout behind a soap dish in the bathtub. Because of the small width between the wall and the dish, the 1/16-inch blade would have been more ideal, but the 1/8th one worked. We're keen on the Multi-Max.
