What a wonderful disc of Hawaiian slack key guitar solo instrumentals, mixed with some lovely vocals. This disc is a must for any fan of Hawaiian slack key guitar music, or just beautiful, heartfelt music. George Kahumoku has put together a disc of energetic but relaxing music -- neither frenetic at the fast end nor snoozy at the slow end. The artists captured on the Dancing Cat slack key series are great balladeers, with a perfect balance of professional polish and earthy authenticity. No night club music this, but rather backyard music by some very gifted performers.

My Favorite Hawaiian CD!, February 7, 2003

I have a large and growing collection of Hawaiian music and this one is by far my favorite. George Kahumoku is a gifted guitar player. His music is warm and heartfelt. Although I do not know 10 words in Hawaiian, the sound of his voice lifts my spirits and brings me to a completely relaxed place. A must for anyone who enjoys Hawaiian music, guitar music or just wants a very beautiful disk to enjoy!

George Kahumoku, Jr is among the best Hawaiian slack key players of today. Like a big pipe organ can play bells and deep rumbling sounds, GK finds appealing and distinctive sounds on his acoustic guitar that marvel. Nice to have the ever-amazing Bob Brozman sit in on Hanohano Hawai'i. About 53 minutes or so.
