Dress Form to Sew or Display Doll Clothes Fits 18 Inch American Girl, Nice Gift

I had to order this when I ran across it here on amazon..I make doll clothes for american girl dolls and they are hard to fit just by guessing or stopping to fit each little piece on an actual doll that takes a lot of time, but once I got this doll dress form..the job is much easier..Having the soft cloth body, you can stick pins in it to hold the various pieces so you get a nice fit..It saves a lot of time..and it is small enough you can move it from one place to another, take it with you if you're working on the go.. and it is easy to store..

The fit is accurate to size of the American girl doll clothes and the form is durable and great looking.

This purchase was intended for my daughter who wanted to make clothes for her American Girl doll. There were cheaper doll dress forms being sold in Amazon and elsewhere but I opted for Carpatina. We loved the shoes we purchased from them and because the reviews looked decent.

My daughter and I were so excited to receive the dressform yesterday. Upon receipt, I opened the box and showed it to my daughter. Upon removal of the plastic wrapping, the dress form fell apart. The top half just came off the bottom half/stand. At first, I thought it was meant to be removable like my full size dress forms. But looking further, the dress form was attached (by about 1/2 inch) to the stand by a poorly glued dowel. This is truly disappointing.

I purchased this dress form to fit handmade clothing for an American Girl 18" doll.
It works very well although it is a little over-stuffed around the waist.
It worked well for taking pictures of completed outfits. I would recommend it
for an adult or child who is careful with toys.

I am thrilled with this dress form for 18" dolls. My American Girl doll was taking a beating during the sewing and fitting processes, but now I am easily able to do most of that work directly on the dress form. Pinning garments directly to the form is a true time-saver.

This form is great for design and test-fitting, since you can pin to the form.
It is also nice to use for taking pictures of the work before you sell or gift it!

We are very pleased with this product. We bought it not for displaying 18" doll clothing, but to actually pin material to and sew from. Pins stay in nicely. It is well constructed and looks as though it will last for many years of use. Like the creativity in that my daughter can come up with her own clothing ideas instead of using a pattern.

My mom makes doll clothes so this was her Christmas present. It was made decently...being that I couldn't make it myself...it was worth the materials and someone's time. I paid about $25 for it and my mom can use for all dolls, not just the American Doll..so it worked out well.

The cloak is pretty, but a little too pricy for all that it is. Good soft material, like I think the inside is silk, and the glitter doesn't fall off which is a plus. Maybe it is around the price it needs to be, However, I think it may need to be about $5. or $10. lower. When I showed it to another family member they could tell it was homemade, and said they hoped I didn't pay too much for it. However, I judge by the material used, and how much I think the material is worth, and I say overall I think it's priced about right.
