When Bess and George help Nancy pick out a dress for Deirdre's big party, little do they suspect it's the identical dress Deirdre will be wearing. After a minor altercation with the perturbed hostess, Nancy leaves the party only to be grabbed by a dark figure, tossed into a van and kidnapped! That leaves Bess and George, with some help from Ned, to try and solve the mystery of exactly what just happened to Nancy. Things get complicated further when Bess and George's number one suspect, Deirdre, is kidnapped too!

"Dress Rehearsal" is installment #12 in the graphic novel series featuring Nancy Drew, girl detective. This series updates the popular novels by Carolyn Keene, reimagining teenagers Nancy Drew, best friends Bess and George, boyfriend Ned, and father Carson Drew into 21st Century River Heights.
As the story opens, Nancy Drew is for once acting like a teenager. The big formal dance is just days away; Bess and George drag a protesting Nancy to River Heights' fanciest dress shop to select a gown. Naturally, Nancy gets distracted by a suspicious conversation, but picks out a suitable gown on the first try. As luck would have it, the formal dance is being held at the home of Nancy's big rival, Deidre Shannon, and Deidre throws a fit when she discovers she and Nancy are wearing the same dress. Things really start to get interesting when first Nancy and then another teenager are kidnapped. Nancy Drew's detective will be tested in figuring out who and why before it is too late... "Dress Rehearsal" featuring a less complicated but thoroughly entertaining mystery, highly recommended to the latest generation of Nancy Drew fans.

If you love to read like i do no matter if it's Sherlock Holmes or Miss Jean Marble than you'll love Nancy Drew she's you're regular teenager with one difference she's an detective who solves crimes by using her brain and not with an gun. I may not have everything by Nancy Drew she is and always will be one of my favoites and now that she's in the graphic novels shows how much she's came.
