I looked at a lot of books before purchasing this one to try and make some clothes for my Pomeranian. I was very disappointed in this book. None of the ideas interested me enough to even attemp to make any of the "costumes" in it. And they are "costumes". I was looking for every day wear for my dog: scarves, dinnerware, sweaters, etc. This book is full of stupid superdog costumes and the like. Don't waste your time, unless thats what you're looking for, of course.

This book definitely has some adorable little costumes for dogs. The outfits are well-designed, but the instructions are a little hard to follow and not easy if you're just starting out sewing. There are no patterns inside, so most everything is off the cuff and done from measurements of your own dog. Since I make clothes for dogs other than my own and don't necessarily have the dog within measuring distance, it doesn't make for a good "generic" book. However, it is a pretty good resource for ideas.

Maybe I should have read closer, but I just got this book and it is costumes, not clothes. I want to make everyday wearable clothes for my dog. T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, etc. The costumes are definitely halloween one day type of things. So if you want a halloween costume for your dog this book may work but not to wear on an everyday basis.

i cannot say that the book was as good. though there were a few very cute patterns, some were not that good.
i would rate the book a three and my service a five.

The book is exactly what it said it was. It explains precisely what is needed to accomplish each item. It has been fun to think of other ideas/costumes, too. I expect to do business with them again. Thank you!
