Since 1990, Dressage Illustrated has become a United States standard for learning new dressage tests. Riders find the graphical illustrations of the written tests a tremendous aid in visualizing the test and riding it correctly. Dressage Illustrated includes the directive ideas for each test to help the rider understand how each movement is judged. All coefficient movements (double points) are shaded for easy identification. The required gaits and movements are explained in each book.
About the Author
AHSA and USDF are US equestrian organizations that periodically publish the standard dressage tests used in dressage riding competitions.
Linda Hamilton has ridden and trained horses for over 40 years. She is a horse owner and trainer, dressage rider, dressage instructor, and learner judge. Linda developed the Dressage Illustrated graphic illustrations for the 1995 and 1999 AHSA dressage tests.

This nice, big book with wipe-clean coated pages is great to have around the home or barn. You can trace out the tests with a grease pencil or crayon (to help you learn), or stash the book in your tack trunk, and it stays nice and new. Horses can bite, stomp or lick it and it won't tear.The diagrams are big and nicely drawn step by step. Helpful, durable books and I believe the whole series is avaialable all the way up to Grand Prix. Good luck!
