My house has Christian books everywhere, literally hundreds, and of all those, Dressed to Kill is the best. It has helped me to understand what the Bible is telling much better by helping me see that the Holy Spirit chose specific Greek words. We say prayer in English, but God had his scribes use a number of different words for prayer to confer very significant nuances of meaning. If you want to be a successful Christian warrior, read this book, read your Bible, and DO what they tell you.

Dressed to kill is an inspirational piece of work that brings alive the Word of God and specifically that which is famously detailed in Ephesians 6. Paul the Apostle, having observed first hand the armour and weoponry of a typical Roman soldier, was able to liken its application to our daily management of the dark forces that seek to negatively impact our minds. These are the forces which attempt to encourage doubt, revive old wounds and the 'excess baggage' that existed prior to our salvation; overall they seek to undermine our faith in Jesus Christ.

Being dressed to kill through adopting this figurative armour, the reader is provided a mindset built on prayer and dependence on the Word in order to stave off demonic forces intent on stealth, murder and destruction. The 'armour' analogy reinforces the interdependence of each item, be it a weapon, a protective piece or the loinbelt that holds everything together. The frequent translations of the original Greek text truly authenticates this work and adds perspective given the letters of Paul were written some 2000 years ago. My only criticism, and it's only a very minor personal one, is that Rick Stenner choses the the old King James translation for his Biblical quotations. That said it is written in an easy-to-read format and objectively challenges the reader with questions at the completion of each chapter. This is not only a book that is difficult to put down but one which will always be a source of reference and use in sharing and expanding on the Word with others.

Dressed to Kill is an amazingly awesome resource. Mr Renner's exposition of Greek words is a very necessary and helpful additive to any book. If you're ready to resist the devil, dressed in your spiritual weapons, do purchase this resource, if not please stay away from it. Knowledge always producing greater attack from the enemy, but know this, the greater the suffering the greater the blessing from God.
