Dressing - Changing Combo Table- Natural Finish

We purchased both the combo unit and the lifetime crib. The combo unit came already assembled (which was nice, but take a vehicle large enough to fit it into!). It was very well packaged so that it could not be damaged in transport. The wood is real wood (not fiber or pressed with a real wood look laminate) which is nice, and it is very thick with a flawless finish. The drawers have a catch so that they aren't easily pulled out. You need to lift it out of the catch to remove the drawer, and the track action is very smooth and quiet. It is really an excellent dresser. There are small holes predrilled in the back of the dresser for securing your changing pad to the table top, which is nice. We purchased the Simmons Contoured changing pad which has built in straps for security it to your changing table top and they were spaced perfectly to line up with the predrilled holes on the combo unit.

My husband and I purchased the whole set which included the crib, combo unit and chest. The pieces are pricey however our angel is worth it. All the pieces are made from a good sturdy wood. Purchasing these pieces are an investment because of the high quality. These are pieces my daughter can take to her first apartment. I would recommend the whole set to anyone looking for quality furniture.

After looking long and hard for affordable, well-built furniture for the nursery, we found this dresser and love it. Although it might seem expensive, when we compared it to other real wood pieces (not laminated particle board stuff), we found it to be a good buy. We picked it up at the store, and also found it to be really well packed and protected. We are also using ours as a changing table, and the contoured pad attached easily to the pre-drilled holes in the back (the dresser gives you several options on where to position the pad as well). The drawers open and close smoothly, and shut themselves the last inch or so for safety as our daughter gets older. We have been using it for seven weeks and still think it one of our best purchases.

I bought this item along with the matching chest and crib at Babies R us. I got them on clearance for a total of $800. As you can imagine, at that price I am EXTREMELY pleased with these items. The crib is top-notch and the rest of the furniture if very nice. On thing I must correct from the other reviews-- THIS IS NOT 100% SOLID WOOD! The side panels of the chest and combo are particle board. Not a big deal as the drawer faces, trim, front face, and top are all solid wood. Also, these items are HEAVY (probably because of the particle bard sides). The inner drawers are made of press board (as were every other pice of furniture we could find). Even at retail prices, this and the rest of the collection is a value. If you can get it for what I did, you will make out like a thief. One note-- one of my items was a floor model with some minor dings. I thought I could throw some clear lacquer on it and the color difference from the fresh scracth would them match the rest of the undamaged wood. No dice. These are not finished with clear lacquer, but instead with a tinted lacquer. Keep that in mind when trying to fix scratches/gouges.

I especially like the quality and the smooth finish of this dresser. It is long enough to have the changing pad and a basket of changing supplies next to it. We also purchased the Lifetime crib after long thought. Since we were investing the money for the dresser we wanted the crib to eventually be used as the headboard/footboard. Otherwise it would be hard to find a matching bed set once she outgrows the crib. The size of the drawers are really good and the cabinet has the adjustable height shelf as well. Great investment!
