Normally I wear a size 7.5 shoe and an 8 boot. I ordered these in both a 7.5 (black) and an 8 (beige). The 7.5 is plenty big even with a heavy sweat sock. The 8 is probably too big. Not sure if I'll keep them and wear with really heavy socks or send them back. It is interesting though, that even with the shoe being too big, my heel is comfortably held firm. Love that.

Now for the orthopedic stuff. These shoes have lots and lots of toe room. There are two removeable insoles which can be interchanged anyway you want. Your own orthodics can be added with or without removing the insoles.

I am not that old and these shoes make my feet look like boats. However, with arthritis and neuroma and surgery on the horizon, I need shoes that I can walk in and these are good for that. I have Clarks and Merrells and Keens and PW Minor and Walking Crades and Softspots. (I need a job just for my footwear) and these are the best so far, but there is really no attempt at style. But when you are walking around the city with friends and your feet are killing you, style goes out the window quickly.

I am glad I bought them and I think with jeans they will be fine - and really I'd love to be stylish but comfort is the most important. Right?!

the shows are a bit boxy, but I wear a brace and needed the room. Great deal, well made shoes. You can tell when a shoe has two inserts that it is a quality shoe. My poor feet needed this kind of detail!
