This CD is basically a cover of a number of the familiar themes from various superhero-related TV shows, from "Batman" to "Smallville". While most of the covers are OK, there are some which just don't cut it. In particular, the "Batman", "Spider-Man" and "Superman" themes are surprisingly the weakest tracks on the CD. The cover tracks of "The Hulk" (from the TV show) and "The Flash" are surprisingly good. The cover "Save Me" (from "Smallville") is not too bad either. Interestingly, there is a pretty good cover of the "Captain America" theme from the extremely short-lived TV movies that came out in 1979. As bad as the movies may have been, I have always wondered why this particular theme has never appeared (at least to my knowledge) on any of the albums released by Mike Post. I always felt his music was the only real redeeming feature of those old TV movies. The remaining themes on the CD are OK. If you want a good compilation of superhero themes, I would still purchase the Sci-Fi Collection CD (volume 4, I believe) for more authentic themes before I would purchase this one.

A nice collection of favorite tunes that kids will enjoy.

We bought this CD for my son's 5th Superhero birthday party. We weren't disappointed at all. The songs sound great and my son and his friends recognized most of the songs. Even after the party, my son enjoys listening to the songs while he plays in his room. The quality of the songs is a 4 out of 5!

A blast from the past! We used this cd to enhance our Super Hero Kid Party at our library. The kids enjoyed shouting out the titles of shows the music was from and surprisingly they managed to get even the oldest -- Batman from the 60's - my era. The Mighty Mouse theme "Here I come to save the day" -was the least familiar to kids but we adults remember it nostalgically. A great party cd.
