I bought this unit less than 2 years ago and it has broken twice. Though most websites advertise a 6 year warranty, Dri-Eaz says this is a misprint, was posted in error, and they are not responsible for what vendors publish. Bottom line, it will cost more to fix the unit than it is worth. Steer clear! There are other units competitive in pricing with 5 star ratings.

It looked to be in good shape when i received it. But it made noise. when i removed the outer panel, i saw that the fan bracket was broken and the fan had a chunk taken out of it. I made a temporary fix to the fan bracket and it works good except for the noise from the broken fan. I am trying to get it exchanged now. Will be glad to have it if/when I get a replacement.

I purchased two of these units about 4 years ago. I have replaced 6 humid sensors during the four years. One the units had a refrigerant leak which I repaired. The units have tendency to ice up which destroys the sensors. The unit will not run without the sensor. Getting replacement sensors is next to impossible. The inside of the units has significant rust and will most likely fail in the near future. I assume that these units would hold up in the crawlspace since that is what they were designed to operate.

I have owned the Dri-Eaz CMC 100for almost 4 years now.

Our crawl space is approximately 25' x 40' and approximately 36" in height. The floor is dirt. We live at the bottom of the hill in our subdivision, so humidity is always an issue.

When i shopped for a product to help us this unit seemed to be the best choice. The bottom line is that it has been the best choice both in performance and company support of the unit.

There were a few issues in the last 4 years. The good news is that the tech representatives in both the home office and a regional service center near our home in the Midwest immediately offered solutions instead of excuses to solve a problem with a RF sensor and suggestions regarding the crawl space environment and other answers regarding drainage.

Richard in the regional office and Kyle and Robert in the home tech center returned my calls or email promptly and quickly solved my problem. I just checked the unit (as i suggest anyone should do every 3 months) and it is making a very positive difference in the crawl space conditions.

This product was worth the money, and the service is exactly what i expect from a company when needed.
