5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Dark & Harsh Electro Industrial, March 23, 2004
By
SandmanVI (Glen Allen, VA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dried Blood of Gomorrha (Audio CD)
DBoG may be the best starting point for :W: newbies. It is a combination of 2 EPs, 'Gomorrha' and 'Dried Blood', that were originally released separately. These are the songs that got people into the band in the 1st place and they still hold up well over time.

"Black Death" is one of the hardest songs you will hear in any genre, but it is highly original too. Trippy, eerie synths backed by spoken female French lyrics build too an angry frenzy of hyper-fast guitars, beats and Rudy's screamed vocals. "Body Parts" contains some of the most bombastic percussion available anywhere. "Funeral Diner" features a Chinese sample loop taken from an 'X-Files' episode that is both creepy and catchy. "Turns Off Pain" is a great song offering a twisted take on love and relationships.

There are no bad songs on this release actually. If you like industrial but haven't heard :W: then get this. If you listen to American crossover industrial garbage then it's time you start listening to some of the real stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars WELCOME WELCOME.. TO THE FUNERAL DINER!, February 23, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Dried Blood of Gomorrha (Audio CD)
This album is a compilation of what was two seperate singles, "Dried Blood" and "Gomorraha". Together they make a wonderful compilation.. All of these are powerful and MUST HAVE :Wumpscut: songs.. If you're familiar with only bands such as NIN and other industrial bands, you NEED to give this and other :W: albums a listen.. they will _BLOW_YOU_AWAY!_

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome, January 6, 2001
This review is from: Dried Blood of Gomorrha (Audio CD)
This is :wumpscut: so you know it has to be good. Although Rudy's later work, such as Eevil Young Flesh is not as good as his earlier albums. But, I can assure you that if you are an existing :wumpscut: fan, this cd will not disapoint you. Other killer :W: releases are Music For A Slaugtering Tribe, and Embryodead.
