could not put down!! This is the 4th Noah Braddock installment. If you haven't read the first three - go back and read them. Noah is in a dark place from an life altering event in Liquid Smoke. He is drifting away from everyone and his life as he knows it until he meets a little boy on the beach. Another great book from Jeff Shelby. From the first novel I have seen this play out on the screen. Can't wait to see what the author has in store for Noah in the next book!

I'm a huge fan of Jeff Shelby. I absolutely loved the first three books in the Noah Braddock Mysteries: "Killer Swell", "Wicked Break" and "Liquid Smoke". His fourth book in the series does not disappoint. So much happened in "Liquid Smoke", it was a wonder as to just what Noah's next steps would be. "Drift Away" is a perfect continuation in what I hope will be a long-lasting series of entertaining, heartfelt mysteries.

My only complaint is that I finished it too quickly and am already eagerly awaiting the next installment.

This is the first Noah Braddock mystery I have read and I literally could not put it down. I started it after getting the rest of the family off to bed and basically devoured the book, finishing shortly after 2 a.m.

I love the writing, the way the hints of Noah's past life are doled out to us, his interactions with the people he meets, the way he deals with the bad guys, the way he deals with processing his own emotions and his past, the action, the description of Ft. Walton Beach and Destin, and the ending. The whole book unrolled in my mind like a top-rated Hollywood action film. It is a wonderfully well-put-together book.

Of course, now I have to go find the earlier Noah Braddock books and see what I've missed!
