F&J 1995 Release,
This review is from: Drift (Audio CD)
Drift is an album that kind of just blows by. Overall the album is shorter in length, and worse than all of their previous efforts. It isn't bad, but it is an alright album that could be better but also could be worse. It's hard for me to describe, I like all of the songs on this album, I just feel it does not have any powerhouse tracks. It is a solid collection of good songs, but nothing stellar. Nevertheless, I do recommend it. Plus, the album might only be alright, but the cover is cool. So there.

Pretty Decent,

This is the only album I have by them and it is on cassette so it doesn't have the bonus tracks. I recently burned it to CD and have listened to it several times. It is more in line with what I like to listen to compared to the hair metal bands I've experienced lately. The playing is great and Erik AK has a unique voice that at times reminds me of James Hetfield and at other times, a singer I can't remember the name of (I guess that's a pretty vague statement!). After several listens I can actually remember bits and pieces of the music. I've heard a lot about this legendary band but in the past, I wasn't blown away by their music. In this case, I'm still not blown away, but they are a good band. I can't say how this compares to their classic album Doomsday For The Deceiver, but it is not bad. If you like advanced thrash, this is the band for you. Highly recommended.

A Kid's Review

first off this cd was shelved before it was given a chance in most cases at the time it was released.but as time rolled on the true greatness of this cd would be reveiled and with this remastering this cd definetly has an edge to it.the remastering cleans up the production and brings definition to each instrument.they added one hell of a black sabbath cover with fairies wear boots very true to the original and they added some remixed versions from this cd.

Average riffs from an average thrash band that Jason Newsted left for Metallica, thank god. When i was younger listening to Slayer, Tallica, Anthrax, Megadeth etc i heard a few songs from there older albums. Well i didnt like them then and i still don't, i remember actually buying this album because of one decent sounding song. Then i think i threw it away lol. Good vocals, but some of the WORST lyrics you will ever here. My 10 year old son can write better lyrics on a piece of paper with a marker, and i don't even have a 10 year old son! Not sure why or how they've stayed around so long, but this sucks.

This band has always been below average at best beating a dead horse. This album is no exception except with a garbage 90's sound.
