5.0 out of 5 stars Drina number 3, February 25, 2006
Disregard the other review. That is for a different book in the Drina series. They are thinking of Drina Dances in Switzerland.

Drina Dances in Exile is also known as Drina Dances Alone. Drina's grandfather is transferred to Australia for a short time, and Drina has to enter the Dominick boarding school, Chalk Green. It's a super read - and it's a very important introduction to characters that play important roles as the series progresses. Plus, it shows England outside of London - which is always refreshing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another gem in the Drina crown..., July 9, 2003
By A Customer
Drina's grandfather has been gravely ill and her grandparents move to Switzerland for the winter, taking Drina with them. While there, she attends a finishing school (with cousin Antonia making an appearance), which she despises, and where she must dance in complete solitude. However, with a new friend and a challenging dance project, Drina finds some satisfaction. This is one of my favourites of the later Drina books.
