I bought the fountain that comes with a large reservoir. My only complaint (as the fountain is great) is in the reservoir. My cat likes to see the bubbles it makes as it lets water out, so every night she knocks off the reservoir while playing with it and spills water all over my kitchen floor. It isn't attached in any way and is not sturdy. It just sits in this shallow holder. I don't know why it doesn't come with a better holder...or isn't attached in some way.

Really that's my only complaint. My cat is actually drinking more water than before which is great!

It works great. However, I purchased this item to fool my cat that it is fresh running water like the bathroom sink where he sits and meow's and doesn't stop until i turn it on for him after he heats and any hour during the day, night or whenever he gets thirsty. Didn't fool him. It keeps fresh running water yes and that's a plus for it to always be clean when I'm away for a long day. But it is not to be used to fool them that it's coming from some outside source. Overall great product I recommend it highly.

Of all the gadgets we've gotten for our cats over the years (electronic feeder, self-cleaning litter box, battery operated toys) this one has withstood the test of time. Both of our tabbies love it. The first few days they were afraid of it, but they got used to it. We add water every few days to avoid the gurgling noise it makes when water is running low (we do not have the "reservoir").

Every once in a while I like to give the motor a rest, so I shut off the fountain. It does not have an on/off button so you have to unplug it. We replace filter every few months (relatively inexpensive purchase). And we clean out the mechanism every couple of weeks with a bottle brush.

Anyway our cats are healthy & hydrated, and the fountain is a nice addition to our kitchen.

Excellent product. Easy to clean. My six cats think it great. They prefer the fountain over a regular water bowl anyday. It is well worth the extra money for the bigger reservoir.

Worked very well for our cats as we were off to a wedding. Kept them watered and such.

After researching many of the drinking fountains, I decieded to purchase this one. I am very glad that I did. It took the cats and dogs a day to get use to it, but after that they all love to drink out of it. It is not noisy at all, but then I have it on carpet. If you have it turned up for hard flow it sounds like a fountain. I have not had trouble with it splashing out. You must keep a eye on the water level, it does run out quickly with 4 animals drinking out of it. I just cleaned it for the frist time and had no problem with that either. I will endorse this item to the hilt. It was also not hard to figure out how to use it. Also my amimals are drinking much more water then before. Thank you Drinkwell. I do recommend getting the 70 oz reservoir for less frequent fillings of tank.

I love this product and so do my cats! The water really stay fresh and cool.

So far I am loving this product. My cat was diagnosed with a Urinary tract problem, and I needed to encourage him to drink more water. This product did the trick he loves the running water. Its better than the faucet because the water is filtered, and it saves me money on my water bills.

The Drinkwell Fountain is awsome! The cats all love it. I first purchased one when one of my cats kept begging to have the faucet turned on so she could drink. It was well worth it! Even the kitten wasn't afraid of it and drank from it like a pro. The hardest part about this is cleaning, which is much easier with the cleaning kit available!

Well I didn't realize the item would have a humming sound and vibrate the water in the dish. The whole reason for me was to get one of my cats off the counters wanting to drink chlorinated faucet water and drink fresh out of the spout that pours out of the drinkwell..But the vibration of the water and the noise seems to intimidate her so I unplug it. I do plug it in ocassionally for circulation, I guess to keep it from getting funky.
