A total waste of money.

Unlike some negative reviewers, I did in fact get the needle threader to work.

As others have said though, it takes too long to get the darn thing to work.

Then, once I did get it to work the 'wire' that pushes the thread through the needle eye malfunctioned and began pushing up in a totally different location - making it useless.

The small eye side continued to work properly, but the large eye side failed.

Great idea, just a lousy product.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Piece of crap! A needless item. Great idea, stupid design. If you could actually make it work it would still take twice as long to use as an old fashioned threader! The problem is that you can"t see where the eye of the needle should meet the threader part because the "chimney" that you place the needle in is not see through so you are back to square one! Don't waste your money.

This may work fine with sewing thread, but it certainly doesn't work with embroidery floss! Save your money. It's more of a "trinket" than a tool.

After a dozen tries, wiggling, twisting, etc., I finally got the thing to thread once. You have to have exactly the right size needle and exactly the right size thread. And, it's made out of cheap plastic that goes out of alignment easily (needle threading with a device like this needs a very high degree of precision/alignment).
The old-style needle threaders with a micro-thin wire work far better, IMO.

When I purchased this device, I really thought I'd be able to use it. But, the directions sent with the device were very simplistic and did not help me figure out how to actually use the device. I would not recommend it no matter how inexpensive it is.

I'm not a mechanical genius, but this item is as difficult as rocket sceince to launch. I tried every which way to work it without success. Maybe I should have said "Rumplestilskin"? I finally gave up and bought some prethreaded needles in a kit. There is just anough on each needle to sew on a button or mend a hole or hem. Wasteful, but it works.

I attempted to make it work with may sizes of needles. The package did not say which size of needle might work. I tried turning the needle eye to make sure it was in a good position. I tried different threads. It just did not work. It was a gift so I can not take it back. It just makes me sad to think that many more might buy this item.

Buy the old fashioned needle threaders - this is only going to frustrate you. Our local quilt shop owner had these and didn't recommend them, her comment was that it seemed to only work best with Dritz brand needles, so I never purchased one from her because I use a variety of brands. Yesterday at our local walmart store these were in stock for a few bucks so I bought one. Could not get it to thread a single needle. the wire threader would poke out when no needle was inserted into the funnel, but no amount of adjusting the eye of the needle up or down within the funnel was going to get the thread pushed through. In theory it's a great concept, but it sucks in real life use.
