This seam ripper fits perfectly into my hand.

The sharp little point that is meant to do the ripping just snapped clean off.
E. Kipps
Does exactly what it's suppose to do and I like that it was not expensive.

Broke after using it a few times. The metal just snapped. Now, I need to find a better, more hardy one.

I was looking for a seam ripper, occasionally I have to rip something out of a store bought item. I ordered this online because I could not find one locally. The fabric stores of yesterday are gone... when I got this item it is barely large enough; it is about the size of my thumb. I am a very tall female who has trouble with handling such small objects. I do not recommend the purchase of this product. The handle is simply not large enough. I will suffer the small cost of this object and chalk it up to lessons learned.

What a piece of junk! I've owned perhaps 4 or 5 seam rippers over the years, and this is the only one I've tried that is simply not sharp. Need to tug aggressively in order to cut threads, and this puts the adjacent fabric in danger of ripping. Dritz needs to conduct better quality control apparently!

I bought this at a brick and mortar and its the same size as the one i used in the 80s. The tip is beveled to slip under a stitch and then push further to get to the sharp part. Maybe some of the bad reviews correlated to arthitic hands this would be tough to grasp, but i imagine it would also be as tough if not tougher to do seam ripping as you need grip and precision movements. The cap makes a great handle. Stays in place in storage in a mildly used drawer but i suspect it will stay together well in the kitchen misc. Drawer that gets used almost daily.

I misplaced mine and i was thinking its affordable enough to have a second floating around the kitchen drawers. Works on multiple strand bucilla felt stocking kit fixes as well as the typical stitch.

Only potential caveat is if this is a micro version but doesnt appear to be the case. Same. Olor and style.

Easy to carry in a purse if you have a thread coming loose and might need to trim it. Lress the good part of the thread to thw fabric to keep from pulling it and swipe. We dont all get around to fixing it the tailor when intended. :)

My Maine Coon got sick every time we took him to the groomer, so I bought a pet shaver but he bolts out of the room whenever I turn it on. So I asked the owners of a Maine Coon cattery how they removed the clumps of fur from their show cats, and they told me to get a seam ripper.

This small seam ripper from Dritz is perfect for eliminating the clumped fur on my cat. I've tried other brands of seam ripper, but the blades aren't sharp enough. This seam ripper fits perfectly into my hand.

It you want to try this technique on your cat, be sure not to pull too hard on the clump. Otherwise, you might end up cutting into skin

Although this works extremely well I have larger hands and it is a little small. If you hands are large pass this up & go for the larger one.

I purchased this seam ripper to include in my repair kit while backpacking. The seam ripper without the clear guard/cover weights a .05 ounces on my scale, almost nothing. For my purpose it's been fine. I tested it while doing some hemming on some webbing. It performed well.

Just what I expected. Nothing new to the style. Great for small errors in the sewing world. Handy to keep close by when you are sewing.
