You have to hammer them together, they don't come with a tool.

On the other hand, even banging as hard as possible was not enough force to actually get the snaps secured to the fabric.

I've been very pleased with this product and it looks really nice, too.

These snaps are awesome to use on bathrobes, shirts, doll clothes, etc. The best way to get them to work and NOT crack is to use the Dritz gripper snap tool that is ment to close snaps. And make sure the pearl part of the snap is against the SMOOTH side of the tool. If you do it opposite then the snap will crack.

I bought these despite a couple of negative reviews, having never put snaps on anything before, and had NO problem...was finished in less than five minutes! I did what another reviewer (as well as the back of the package) stated and put soft a surface underneath (I used a magazine) and hit a hammer onto a spool of thread placed over the snap. Looking down the center of the spool made it super easy to ensure that it was centered over the snap! Why would I ever make a button hole again when these are this easy and cute!

I love these pearl snap fasteners, they work on a variety of projects. Anything I have ever bought with the name Dritz has been the best quality.

Words can not describe how bad this product is. These simply will not work. If I use any force at all the pearlized portion will crack. On the other hand, even banging as hard as possible was not enough force to actually get the snaps secured to the fabric.

These are great for up cycling any shirt that may need a little extra zing or for anything really. I have used these on shirts and it has made them far more appealing. Highly recommended.

I've used these for 15+ bibs I've made as gifts, and I've only had one crack. I use the old hammer trick to fasten them closed (put item on a hard surface with a towel underneath it, then place a spool of thread over the snap and hammer down on the spool of thread). I've been very pleased with this product and it looks really nice, too. I'd recommend them and will continue to use them.

Just started working with snaps, and I used (read: broke) one too many in my initial attempts, so I had to buy another pack. It was cheaper here than buying at Joanns with a coupon, and the shipping was fast. There are enough in the pack for multiple small projects, or one larger one.

My only complaint is that I've been having a heck of a time with the decorative pearl-finish snaps, as they're larger than the others and don't seem to like my snap pliers. Most likely user error.

Impossible to use even with the special Dritz pliers. Do not waste your money on this as it is near impossible to line up the parts correctly
