Omnigrid Quilter's Ruler. This ruler was made from a durable premium quality acrylic plastic and laser cut for a smooth edge that allows for easier deeper cutting of fabric layers. The patented double line effect is printed in black and yellow which allows the used to see the grid on both dark and light fabrics. Designed for left and right handed users. Used for sewing, scrapbooking, crafts, weaving and more! Has 30, 45 and 60 degree angle lines marked for easy alignment of fabric. This Ruler Measures 9-1/2" x 9-1/2".

I'm new to quilting so I needed tools. One of the first was the 12x12 Omnigrid. It is easy to use but you do have to pay attention to the scales and the orientation on the fabric or you mill not get the desired measurement. As long as you pay attention, the cutting of fabric is simple. You can easily line up where you want and the blade runs right next to it. Getting perfect squares is easy. Learning to sew a straight line is a bit harder.

This is a must have ruler in your supply. The 12.5 x 12.5 size is perfect for cutting the large blocks I do. Its nice and sturdy, the yellow printing is great on darker colors, but hard to see on lighter colors of course. The product is very good, just as I had expected. I would recommend it to anyone. The order arrived on time and in perfect condition.

The Omnigrid 12.5" x 12.5" Quilter's Ruler is used almost daily as I measure, ensure right angles and parallel edges, and get excellent cuts when combined with a self healing mat and rotary cutter. One additional feature I would love to see added, {which is actually a subtraction...}, could there be tiny holes at the intersection of each square inch? These holes could serve so many purposes and would have garnered a 5 * rating from me. Omnigrid, please? Otherwise, it's an excellent size, excellent quality, and you will use this size a lot in your quilting and general sewing.

I make a lot of baby & children's quilts with several 12" squares that I machine embroider on so this size grid is perfect for cutting a 12" square WITH 1/4" seam allowances, which is perfect when you're using a serger to finish the seams at a 1/4".
