Review

I enjoyed both short stories where Brianna proves that a young man did not kill his grandfather and the second where things are not as they appear with Miss Rosie. My rating: 4 stars

So glad to discover a new (to me) author and series besides. I am avid reader and love this book. Am already on next one. Laugh and be held in suspense until the end.

This was such a fun read that I couldn't put it down. I love Briana Sullivan and I hope that she continues to live her life to the fullest and share every bit of it with us.

I enjoyed this read and was sorry for it to end. Thankfully, there are more in the series! I love the surprises as well as the humor!

Funny wise cracking psychic Brianna is enjoying traveling in Matilda, her motor home, when she stops for pie and ends up solving a murder in "I Try Not to Drive Past Cemeteries," the first in this delightful series. Brianna is waylaid by a ghost who gets her attention with blackberry pie. She tries to pass along the messages from the murdered victim speaking to her to doubting Detective Cooper Jackson but he is almost as stubborn as the ghosts who pursue her. The police have the wrong man, but readers will enjoy Brianna's humorous asides as much as the mystery. The sparks fly among Brianna and Coop, even if she doesn't want to admit it: "Love? Probably just the chili I had for lunch."

In "Buried but not Dead in Lottawatah," Brianna begins her story while lying in manure after being shot at while working in the garden. A Civil War soldier comes to her for help, and Detective Cooper Jackson returns doubting not just her otherworldly senses but her story about being shot. The warm, funny tone pervades this well written series. Even the chapter headings will make readers smile as they puzzle out which of the crazy cast of characters is to blame for crimes past and present.

Evelyn David's I TRY NOT TO DRIVE PAST CEMETERIES may be the funniest read I've had in years. Seeing ghosts who find a home in her motor home and falling for an imperfect man, Det. Jackson Cooper keeps the laughs rolling for Brianna Sullivan.
There are two shorts in this selection, the second Buried BUT NOT DEAD IN LOTTAWALCH, OK has all the elements of the first. There is no stopping fans, these are must read to the end.
I'm off to get the next in this delightful series.

Brianna Sullivan is a laugh a minute with her nonchalant acceptance of the ghosts who seek her help. It is a quick read, and I was glad, because, while I was sorry for it to end, I simply couldn't put it down until I had finished it. I picked this up as a freebie, but now I am hooked and can't wait to read more about this engaging mobile home psychic. I'm hoping her budding relationship with the detective also develops. Thank you Evelyn David.

When I saw this book for free, I almost didn't even get it then. Something about the title and cover I thought seemed a little cheesy. Boy am I glad I bit the bullet. This is one talented author. Almost immediately I was lmao. I literally ended up reading the entire book in one sitting. I will definitely be buying more of her books. She has a sarcastic humor so many authors try and fail at. She definitely has it down.
