I paid more than twice this much for these movies when BCI put them out a few years back; I should have waited. This Mill Creek collection contains all the movies originally in BCI's Drive-In Cult Classics Vol. 1,2 & 3 plus their After Dark Thrillers collection. It is only missing 'French Quarter' with Bruce Davison off 'After Dark Thrillers' and adds 'Carnival of Crime' and 'Lurkers.'
These movies span 1962-1990 and about half are in anamorphic widescreen.

UPDATE: I give this set a 3 out of 5 for such a shoddy way they packaged it. "Pick Up" is on TWO discs here, really crappy way to sell a product. The content is good and it's not the end of the world, and yes "Pick Up" is the same movie not two different versions.

The set I got DID have "French Quarter" in it, along with "Pick Up" on one side and "Click" and "Hot Target" on the other side of disc 12 (not listed on the box itself). It was missing Carnival of Crime and Lurkers which is listed on the box. Weird. Since I didn't order it for either of those movies and the ones it came with are newer and have sex in them I'm not complaining. FYI if you are ordering for any of those titles.

The set looks like they took prior box sets and just packaged them together because they have different menu's or none at all. Also a few of these have a drive in experience menu with a couple of cartoons (I saw one Woody Woodpecker and one Popeye cartoon), along with the same drive in snack ad's for each disc with those extras.

I'm happy I ordered it but if I have criticism it's the titles not listed properly on the box, and that the sleeves they come in are not labeled so I had to spend an hour going through each disc and labeling the sleeves with masking tape and a pen. The discs are labeled but you have to have better then 20/20 eyesight to read the ultra small font they used, I can hardly read it with my glasses on.

This set was on sale for very little money, so I bought them. Amazon prime shipped and delivered a few days later. Dropped the first DVD into a player and started watching. About 45 minutes into the movie, the player made a little noise and ejected the DVD.

Flipped it over. Same.

Tried it in 3 other DVD players/computers here. disk-read errors. Ok, 1 bad disk out of 12 ... fine ...

Except it wasn't just 1 bad disk. At least 5 discs of the 12 are flawed. With some, I can see the physical bubbles on the discs. Ok, perhaps this was a bad set?

Asked Amazon to replace the set - I'll return the old set.
The new set arrived yesterday, so I let them acclimate to the inside temperature overnight and decided to try and read all of them today. So far, 2 of the discs have flaws that cannot be read over and 1 of them is taking over an hour to "read" - a good disc takes about 7 minutes.

Finished reading all the disks in the 2nd set - only 2 had issues - 3 sides total.

2 less than perfect sets? Not good. Seems the same disks are showing problems (disk 8).

Amazon's price for the set has more than doubled and emails reminding me to return the first set have been clear about the new price. Supply/demand.

2 Stars because of all the disc failures.

A collection of low, low, low budget movies featuring actors either getting their starts or nearing the ends of their careers. If you're a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 you may have seen some of these already. This collection features the best (or worst) of exploitation films. Almost all of these movies are collected in separate DVD sets. Note that the box lists Lurkers and Carnival of Crime but these movies were not in the set I received (see below). Not sure if this is a one time thing.

Disc 1
-The Teacher
-Pick-up
-Best Friends
-Trip With Teacher

Disc 2
-Stepmother
-Sister In Law
-Malibu High
-Cindy and Donna

Disc 3
-They Saved Hitler's Brain (Aka Madmen of Mandora with added scenes)
-Madmen of Mandora

Disc 4
-Bloodlust
-The Devil's Hand

Disc 5
-The Creeping Terror
-Terrified

Disc 6
-Land of The Minotaur (Stars Peter Cushing and Donald Pleasence)
-The Hearse (featuring Joseph Cotten)

Disc 7
-The Babysitter
-Weekend with the Babysitter (basically a remake of the Babysitter featuring the same male lead actor!)

Disc 8
-Pink Angels
-Blood Mania

Disc 9
-Single Room Furnished
-Van Nuys Blvd.

Disc 10
-Pom Pom Girls
-Malibu Beach

Disc 11
-Blue Money (incorrectly titled on the box as Blue Monday)
-Double Exposure
-Separate Ways (Starring Karen Black)
-Night Club

Disc 12 (This disc is incorrectly titled, one side is labeled as Lurkers/Carnival of Crime but instead has Pick Up/French Quarter)
-Click: The Calendar Girl Killer
-Hot Target
-Pick Up
-French Quarter
