5.0 out of 5 stars Hip! Fun! Sassy!
Drive Me Crazy is an enjoyable read! From the fun-in-the-sun tight butt contest to the end of the road rally in Key West, this romantic comedy will keep your motor running. Cade and TZ are hot together. Many of their antics will have you laughing out loud. I look forward to Ms. Angell's next book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It Did.
If Cade Nyland wins the SunCoast Run road rally, he'll be the first person to ever sweep every race in the season. It's a goal he's been working towards for years and now that it's in his grasp, he can almost taste victory. Unfortunately, it's a short taste, as he receives word that his mechanic has broken his leg and he won't be able to participate. Without a mechanic,...

5.0 out of 5 stars a wickedly funny book, May 5, 2004

I was given this book and told I had to read it. If you are lucky, someone will do the same to you! But my advise, don't wait for a kind soul to do you a favour, rush out and get one for yourself. The cover was so funny, reminds me of that talking car in the adverts, but that was just the start. From page one, TZ waltzed in and, well, drove us all crazy. I loved her!

It's funny, it's perfect fun for that lazy Summer day at the beach.

5.0 out of 5 stars a fun time!, September 30, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
I used to do car ralleys and they were blast, so when I saw this book was using that as the story line I was excited, though not sure how romance on wheels can bloom. I must say Ms. Angell not only is 'hell on wheels', she sizzles in the romance department, too. But the strongest thread is the humor of this tale.

I'm placing an order for Cade and the 'Stang both! Every gal needs them!

5.0 out of 5 stars a really great time!, April 11, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
My big sister is always trying to boss me around. One of the way is to send me books and then demand I read them. Like she knows what books I will enjoy. This books is a riot! I hurt myself laughing. I loved the hot buns contest, the road rally, the nutty car that is really auntie who won't more on! But they romance between Mick and the gal in the pink caddy takes the cake.

Okay, sometimes big sisters do know best!

5.0 out of 5 stars Most charming and fun book!!, April 27, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
Getting this book as a birthday pressie, I didn't really know what to expect. But my friend has recommended good books in the past and this one is certainly not an exception.

Vivid characters with different personalities cleverly mixed together. You have Cade Nyland who's determined to win the rally and on the surface he doesn't seem to care about much else. Then there's TZ Blake who has inherited a car, an auto repair shop and a debt from her aunt. Together they will enter the rally in TZ's car, after a little begging from Cade's side. But TZ's vibrating '67 Mustang seems to have a mind of its own and without a real navigator this can go wrong, very wrong.

A fun and sexy book where most of the story takes place on a road rally, in a car that has a personality on its own. The book consists of quick comments, fun action and a clear attraction between the different character that makes you smile from the very first page. It's definitely a must real and you're guaranteed to laugh. A most talented writer who will hopefully have another book out soon. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

5.0 out of 5 stars VaVaVoooom, August 18, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
Ok, hero meets heroine in a tight butt contest, earning her the nickname "Sweet Cheeks" throughout the remainder of the story. What a set up for a romantic comedy! When Cade Nyland needs a mechanic to ride along in the Suncoast Rally race, who better to approach than the best mechanic in the area -- TZ Blake -- let's just say the engine isn't the only thing hot in this book. Cade Nyland is to die for.
Favorite scenes? Two words: Seagulls & Jacuzzi. Read the book, 'nuff said.
Along with a cast of character (including two other sub-romances, and a Mustang with a mind of her own), Cade and TZ make their way across Florida in this gut-splitting book. For those who like comedy and steamy romance, Kate Angell is an author to try.

5.0 out of 5 stars first one across the line wins!, May 11, 2004

Road Rallies are fun. Sort of came of Clue on Wheels. And talented Angell captures the whole bit of madness perfectly. A zany cast of characters that are vividly brought to life under her words, keeps you hooked from start to finish. Toss in a car from the Twilight Zone and you have one great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars This author has a new fan in me!, October 14, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
Cade Nyland was furious when a lady put a dent in his classic black Sting Ray. He was determined to win his twelfth road rally race of the year. All he needed was to hire a mechanic to ride along side him. Word had it that TZ Blake was the best. But Cade thought TZ was a male. WRONG!

TZ Blake entered the tight (...)competition to win enough money to keep her auto repair shop open. She ended up splitting the prize money with her friend, Kimmie, and getting a high paying position as Cade's navigator in the SunCoast Run for four days. Due to someone tampering with Cade's vehicle, they take to the read in TZ's '67 Mustang ... and the 'Stang has a mind of its own.

Kimmie has her heart set on another rally racer, Rhett, and finances him in exchange for allowing her to tag along. And they aren't the only two odd couples in this race. Add to this that someone out there was playing for keeps. The SunCoast Run was being sabotaged big time. They way things are going no one might win this race!

***** Great story! I'm not a big auto fan, but I was hooked to the story from the first page. The author has a witty sense of humor and plainly shows throughout the entire book. A fast paced book, with spectacular secondary characters, and lots of laughs. Excellent! *****

4.0 out of 5 stars fun contemporary road rally romance, March 2, 2004
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
In Florida, as Cade Nyland, whose family owns national Action Auto parts, is backing his vintage Sting Ray into a spot, TZ Blake opens the door to her classic Mustang. Both learn that two objects cannot share the same space. She gives him a card to get his vehicle fixed at All Tune and Lube where she says she has a running account, but fails to tell him she owns the place. At Chugger Charlie's, TZ enters the tight butt competition because she needs the first prize cash to keep her garage open. Cade is one of the judges. Cade offers TZ 20K and part of the winnings if she agrees to be his mechanic-navigator because he needs someone to ride with him on the SunCoast Run race. He refuses to let her explain that she cannot read a map.

Nothing goes right during the drive yet Cade and TZ somehow remain competitive with a solid chance of winning. As they bounce along the Florida coast, they fall in love. Neither expects a relationship once the road rally ends that is if they ever finish the obstacle course.

This contemporary road rally romance is a fun drive due to a fine lead couple and a delightful support crew (except for one unnecessary embezzler who makes the race impossible). TZ's navigator skills are so bad that they could just as easily end up in the Carolinas, but her wrench turning skills are A+ gender bending delight. The love between the driving lead couple entertains the audience as does a seemingly doomed romance between a wonderful secondary driving pair. Kate Angell takes the checkered flag with this fine romantic race.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crazy Fun!, October 30, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Drive Me Crazy (Mass Market Paperback)
I bought this book because I had read her Squeeze Play and loved it. I loved this one too. It is fast paced. Nothing drags. The dialogue and the characters are great. It's a great read.
Cade Nyland comes to the local bar looking for TZ Blake. Cade is a road rally racer and needs a mechanic for his car. He is shocked to discover that not only is TZ NOT a man, but she is currently competing in front of him in the bars Hot Buns contest.
Tz had inherited an auto shop, a possessed Mustang and a ton of debt from her aunt. So when Cade offers her a lot of money to be in the car during the road rally, she accepts.
I don't want to give away a lot of the story, but things get crazy. There are a lot of laughs in this story, from the main characters and the supporting ones.
An excellent read.
