I had read a lot of reviews before I purchased this torque wrench and frankly, I was pretty confident I had wasted my $28 but was willing to take a chance. Before I did my research, I had stopped a Mac Tools truck and the man had an inch-pound torque wrench on the truck so I took a careful look at it. I could tell the Mac tool was a quality, precision tool. I would have walked off the truck with it if the price had been anywhere south of $150 but it was $280 plus tax! I immediately went home and found this wrench on Amazon. Here's the kicker! The wrench I received looked and felt exactly like the wrench on that Mac tools truck. So far, I have only used it for about 10 minutes tightening the bolts on the side cover of a motorcycle but the mechanism worked flawlessly. Now I have no idea if it is correctly calibrated but the dial did change the torque setting and there was a definite "click" when torque was reached. If you're a hobby mechanic or have to do your own wrenching because you're poor like me, this is a good wrench for the money. If you were really worried about calibration, you could take it to a shop to check it. Give the guy $20 and you'll still be $240 ahead of buying the "professional" tool off the truck.

I use this wrench for tightening carbon fiber and light weight aluminum bike parts where over tightening or under tightening can be catastrophic either to the part or my wellbeing. This wrench has served me great so far. Both my parts and I have suffered no failures. The wrench seems to accurately torque down the hardware without any damage. Highly recommended. This wrench is $65.00+ cheaper than the equivalent from Parke Tools, while I can't do a side by side comparison it did the job it was intended to do and saved me some cashola. The wrench is not graduated in Nm, so you will have to do a little converting if that is what you are looking for but the wrench comes with conversion tables embossed into the very nice case and again in the included instructions.

I purchased this torque wrench to use on my carbon fiber bicycle. Just for peace of mind, I also ordered a Park Tool TW-1 beam-style Torque wrench. I connected the clicker to the Park wrench and compare them at 35, 40, and 50 in-lb settings. To my surprise, the clicker wrench clicks very close at the correct torque as shown by the Park needle indicator. So far, I am very happy with this product and do not see any reasons to spend over $100 for clicker-style torque wrench for my purpose. Good product for the price!
