I had read a lot of reviews before I purchased this torque wrench and frankly, I was pretty confident I had wasted my $28 but was willing to take a chance. Before I did my research, I had stopped a Mac Tools truck and the man had an inch-pound torque wrench on the truck so I took a careful look at it. I could tell the Mac tool was a quality, precision tool. I would have walked off the truck with it if the price had been anywhere south of $150 but it was $280 plus tax! I immediately went home and found this wrench on Amazon. Here's the kicker! The wrench I received looked and felt exactly like the wrench on that Mac tools truck. So far, I have only used it for about 10 minutes tightening the bolts on the side cover of a motorcycle but the mechanism worked flawlessly. Now I have no idea if it is correctly calibrated but the dial did change the torque setting and there was a definite "click" when torque was reached. If you're a hobby mechanic or have to do your own wrenching because you're poor like me, this is a good wrench for the money. If you were really worried about calibration, you could take it to a shop to check it. Give the guy $20 and you'll still be $240 ahead of buying the "professional" tool off the truck.

I use this wrench for tightening carbon fiber and light weight aluminum bike parts where over tightening or under tightening can be catastrophic either to the part or my wellbeing. This wrench has served me great so far. Both my parts and I have suffered no failures. The wrench seems to accurately torque down the hardware without any damage. Highly recommended. This wrench is $65.00+ cheaper than the equivalent from Parke Tools, while I can't do a side by side comparison it did the job it was intended to do and saved me some cashola. The wrench is not graduated in Nm, so you will have to do a little converting if that is what you are looking for but the wrench comes with conversion tables embossed into the very nice case and again in the included instructions.

Affordable and accurate,

I purchased this torque wrench to use on my carbon fiber bicycle. Just for peace of mind, I also ordered a Park Tool TW-1 beam-style Torque wrench. I connected the clicker to the Park wrench and compare them at 35, 40, and 50 in-lb settings. To my surprise, the clicker wrench clicks very close at the correct torque as shown by the Park needle indicator. So far, I am very happy with this product and do not see any reasons to spend over $100 for clicker-style torque wrench for my purpose. Good product for the price!

Breaker Bar - no ratchet,

This review is from: 1/4" Drive CLICK Micrometer TORQUE WRENCH 20-200 Inch pound (Misc.)
My copy of this torque wrench behaved like a breaker bar. No matter how I tried I couldn't get the ratchet feature to work at all. I set the wrench at the lowest setting and still broke the head off a quarter twenty bolt on my work bench. I contacted Boston Industrial and followed their instruction to send it back. After 5 weeks of follow-up emails they finally let me know they had sent me a check. A week later I did receive a check for just the cost of the tool not the shipping. The check and the envelop were hand written (this must be a very small distributor). The cost of the tool was $26.50. That was refunded. The cost I incurred for shipping round trip was $15.00 plus the time and trouble to email 3-4 requests. It seems that getting a copy that works is hit or miss.
I have since purchase a Park Tool TW-1 torque wrench. it cost $49.00 and only has a 0-60 inch pound range - but this "Beam Type" wrench works great. I wanted the wrench to protect against overtightening fasteners on a carbon fiber bicycle frame. If I need to go to higher torque settings - I'll save up and purchase a second beam type wrench.

The torque wrench as received was defective. The written instructions warned against storing the wrench on any setting other the the weakest yet when received it was set at approx 75% - who knows how long it was in storage this way. After ruining a hex head bolt I asked for and immediately received a return authorization for a full refund. I did not order a replacement, choosing to go with a Wheeler.

Excellent product at a great price.
I found a similar one at Northern Tools but it was not the right torque range. I am working on small engines and I needed a wrench calibrated for around 50 Inch/Pounds not Foot/Pounds. Price is great. Quality is excelent. Delivery was faster than expected. No complaints.

I decided to give this is try & had a terrbile experience with this. I have used others of the same length at 60 in-lbs and know what the pressure feels like. When testing this wrench I couldn't seem to get it to click at any torque adjustment, so I used two fingers and put roughly 60 in-lbs of force on it - snapped the 1/4" drive. So not only would it not read torque, but it also snapped due to possible casting defects.Beam style wrenches are more accurate & less complex to damage. Don't bother with this click-style wrench in in-lb (ft-lb would be fine in click-style) unless you are going to pay up for a high quality one.

I needed a torque wrench that could measure in inch pounds. This is just the ticket and the price is right.

Very well made and feels good in hand the only issue I had was reading the indented scale which should have been filled in with a color making it easy to read, I used a latex red and a small brush and painted over the indents then gently wiped off the excess and the impressions were more distinguishable. I purchased it to torque my rifles, and scopes and it seems to be working but I did not have it professionally calibrated that would cost more then the product itself, but I feel comfortable that it is with in the tolerances I select + or - 5% which is OK since 65 inch pounds is the maximum I would ever use it for
so 5% would be 3.25inch pounds up or down and would not be a problem for my use. Obviously the higher the torque the greater the difference IE 200 inch lbs might be 190 or 210 if you require more accuracy you have to spend a lot more money, a lot more.

Admittedly, I just used my Micrometer Torque Wrench for the first time today but I have to say - easy to use, great quality, great price...what more could a guy ask for!? Shipped very quickly, even in close proximity to the holidays, and was packed well. Case is sturdy as is the construction. What a deal - I'd highly recommend this tool. I'm primarily using it to work on my Honda Civic - I really like to try and follow the torque specs from my manual and got tired of "eyeballing" my 10 ft-lbf wrench. This tool makes a great addition to my set - why didn't I do this sooner.
