wonderful new direction,
By Tim (Long Island) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Drive to Nowhere: Verity's Novel (Audio CD)
This album is just as well crafted as previous releases and the thought put into this is incredible.
Similar to that of their EP this record delves into a more slower and pronounced sound with more focus on lead singer Andy's haunting voice, taking a tangent from the all-out rock and organized chaos. Though songs have mellowed out and become more epic in sound and scape, they have in no way became dull, leaving off the last few minutes of songs to rock out in good old Laymen Terms fashion. The songs run even longer on this release, filled to the (5-8 min) brim with tightly orchestrated musicianmanship and building cresendos. This is a wonderful new direction for the band, creating beauty and sorrow, perfect for any evening long drive. 12 songs running 64 min total.
