For years I have used this framework for evaluating critical business decisions. It has been an invaluable compass when allocating resources in human capital, intellectual capital, and investment capital, particularly when those resources can be so scarce. We have a saying that, `Vision without execution is hallucination.' I would follow that with `Visions supported by Return Driven Strategy have the best chances for success.'

Since I have been exposed to the thinking of the Return Driven Strategy, I am actively using this approach as planning and analysis tool for business and personal matters. This structured, holistic and easy to grasp approach has offered me important insights on many of my case assignments at one of the top consultancies in the world. The book DRIVEN offers an amazing insight to this thinking. It's a must read for anyone interested in strategy and value creation. In addition, the included case studies give a great indication of the importance of following the Return Driven Strategy.

Format: Paperback
The Return Driven Strategy approach provides a seamless, balanced view to link business execution decisions to the ultimate goals of the firm. The model presented by the authors is clear, effective, and directly applicable to a broad set of business objectives. This approach gives senior managers in a firm the tools necessary to recognize the key decisions in their pursuit of excellence, as well as clarifiying which issues are not key to achieving results. This book is a "must" for every executive that makes strategic decisions and translates those to execution!

DRIVEN compiles each of the key concepts toward achieving balanced and boundless success professionally and personally. The Return Driven Strategy Pyramid offers a roadmap to success. Using the pyramid to clarify thought and prepare for action ensures superior returns.

With the good fortune to participate in seminars hosted by Frigo and Litman, I can personally attest to the power of this book. The ideas and nuances of Return Driven Strategy are perfectly presented in this edition.

From both quantitative and qualitative perspectives, do not miss this opportunity to grow professionally and personally with DRIVEN.

Format: Paperback
I have found Return Driven Strategy to be an invaluable framework when making decisions in the investing world and in my personal life. The power of overlaying ethics and operational analysis on top of valuation is undeniable. It is not just a philosophical discussion, it is a truly implementable and useful tool, and Driven does an excellent job of delineating what RDS is about and how it can be applied in the real world. A read I will continue revisiting throughout my professional career.

What a delightful change from the other thousands of business books claiming to have all the answers. Messieurs Litman and Frigo don't have to claim anything; they just lay out reams of practical knowledge. A business man for 25 years, I still took 2 pages of notes before I finished reading the introduction and got to chapter 1. Understanding the psychological reasons behind client satisfaction, treating your employees as customers, differentiating between great companies and great company stocks, realizing great products to not necessarily result in great profits, this book is so full of uncommon sense it is incredible. I not only truly enjoyed reading this book, but it's the type of book where you can go to work the next day with your head full of ideas to make your business better whether you are a business owner, and middle manager, or a stock investor. You might as well save some time and buy several as you will be wanting to give them out to friends and co-workers who will love you for it. What a great read!
