Totally dissapointed, don't even bother,
By Ryan Whitehouse (nowhere) - See all my reviews

I rented this game and I was VERY dissapointed. The controls are pretty simple, but that ends the short list of pros. The thing that really bugs me is the VERY touchy cars. I know they are F-1 racers, but they are super easy to control in "single race" mode, but when in the Euro or US champs, one SLIGHT touch on the stick sends your car into a crazy spinout. The graphics are mediocare, and the music is just pitiful. There are only a few cheezy, repetive songs, no more than a few diffrent beeps in random order. Hell, it sounds like musi fron the first Mario Bros. on GameBoy. If you dont crash or leave the track at maximum speed for about a minute, you enter "the zone". Your car gets a slight boost in speed(15-20mph) and handling. There is a "zone meter" on the bottom of the screen that shows how long until you enter the zone. The graphics dont even begin to use the GC's potential power, and 90% of the game is locked until you beat something. In "story mode" some levels are incredibly easy, and others are INSANELY hard.Ratings Key 1=totally [stinks] 2=Highly below average 3=below average 4=slightly below average 5=average/mediocare 6=slightly above average 7=above average 8=highly above average 9=excellent 10=perfect Controls: 9/10 Story: 7/10 Graphics: 4/10 Sound: 1/10 Fun Factor: 3/10 Overall: 2/10 Don't bother/rent/buy

These cars fly!!! It's fun to zip around with the music playing hyper rythms. It's forgiving, so if you hit a wall, you're not out of the race. Me and my daughter both loved it.

OK, But there is much Better for GC,

This game is ok for me. The graphics are really nothing special at all. Some people say the story line is pointless and the music is horrible, but all that came from the movie Driven. The game is sometimes fun. Some of the levels get very boring, but some are fun to play over and over again. For this games price, if you don't want to spend much money and want to get an acceptable racing game, this is a n okay buy, just don't expect racing like in NFS Hot Pursuit 2 or Burnout.

Ok first the only fun part is when cars crash and go flying, otherwise it isn't to much fun. The music can be compared to ameteur musician players. The graphics are great but thats not enough to compete with anything else. Heres how I rate it.
Fun 3/10 This won't keep you entertained for long Music 2/10 Just so bad, Not even real Graphics 9/10 They are solid, but who cares when the game stinks Tracks 3/10 Boring Cars 5/10 They are just ok Overall 4/10 It's not worth buying... But renting is ok, I guess??

Not worthy of Gamecube,
By A Customer
This review is from: Driven (Video Game)
The graphics on this game appear to have been ported from code written for a machine of much less capability than the GameCube. The soundtrack sounds like it was recorded for a 1970's arcade game. The play may be good but this game does not take advantage of the GC the way Sonic or Luigi do. However, if you cannot wait for a racing game worthy of the GC, you are sort of stuck with this one, as I am.

not bad, not bad at all!,

i purchased this game from amazon and honestly i thought i was going to hate it after i had already ordered it. not the case, however, this game is cool and i think that it has a lot of replay value. what scared me was the fact that the game was new to GC and i did not hear anything about it. i just happened to run across it on amazon and it was [a good price] free shipping, on a new game! would you be scared?! i think the game is cool because of the sound effects, the camera angles amd the career and arcade modes. this is a must buy, i think if you purchase this game you won't be sorry. i rated this game a four only because the cover looks a bit "low budget".

I have to would've given it 4.5 stars, because the other games from Bam! Entertaiment [is] so bad, but the game is new. The game is probally one the best games Bam! Entertainment made. I tried a game called Formula One for racing game and it [was not good].My rating 4.8= controlling 5=graphics
