4.0 out of 5 stars Driver February 11, 2008

I purchased this game back when it was on gold box deal for $15. I played if for a bit then life got in the way so I had to put it away for a couple weeks. Finally I got back into it and I really like this game.

Granted it is very similar to the GTA series but what are you going to play when you've played that series twice over. I never really looked to deep into the game before I purchased it and thought that it was just set in the 70's but then found out that you play the character in the 70's up until he is framed for a crime and then fast forward to 2006 to seek your revenge.

This is a great (adult) game and perfect for venting your frustrations after a long day at work. I agree the game is not perfect, but take it for what it is a fun game at a bargin price.

A strong 4 out of 5!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hours of fun! January 27, 2008

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
My husband a big fan. He likes to drive the different types of cars. I am not a big fan of the hand brake feature, it hard to learn to use. It's fun for the fact i only paid $15.99 for it. We both like the story line and it is fun to do the little side jobs. Cops are fun to out run but watch out for the chopper it gets you everytime.

5.0 out of 5 stars game is awsome! never gets boring! July 12, 2008

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
this game is just like any other grand theft auto for other systems. the controlls are twichy for some cars and loose for others. real fun to get used to. and the best part is it never gets boring! you can go from crusing on a chopper to 110-120 miles an hour racing anytime. even jump roofs with a dirt-bike. if you want a game that will last you a while than this is for you i am still playing it after almost 2 years!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars M Rating is accurate February 9, 2008
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Edition:Standard
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Violent with the language and shooting...still, for those who like grand theft auto types of games, this is pretty fun.

The manual isn't great, though. We were in 3rd person view (which we liked) and are now stuck in first person and can't figure out how to switch...anyone know?

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game - NOT for kids!!!!! January 14, 2008

I bought the Wii for Christmas for my fiancee.....he loves it and loves the game - we both actually play it and as you go through the different boroughs you find different things and levels all the time. Similar to the Grand Theft Auto's but different. Not for children though! A lot of curse words....17+ - but FUN for the mature adults ;)

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
The gamers at Gamestop have rated this game a 5 out of 10 for the Wii version. I got it for under $16 so it seems worth it. I would not have liked to pay $30 for this game, especially for the Wii console. You have to drive by tilting the Wiimote which makes the game a little less fun...so I am considering getting the wheel accessory.

This game goes through different burroughs in New York and involves cop-chases and gunshots. It's fun for a while, overall. I would not recommend it for kids (and it also has a Mature rating)- although tween boys would probably not mind the blood-shed if you let them play it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive Fun January 24, 2008

Thorough Review.

This is somewhat of an adult orientated game, due to the violence and blood.

The game will not really be for Gamers because they will spy the glitches in the game which can ruin game play.

The free roam is fun, and you get "rewarded" after driving around for long enough and putting miles on the odometer, the graphics are OK at best and that is WITH the HD component cable for wii on an hdtv.

It is still fun to play, and being only 20 dollars it has more hours and hours of fun then the 2 movie tickets 20 dollars would get you.

The controls are a little funny at first but within an hour your doing 180's without thinking.
