From School Library Journal
PreS?Brightly colored illustrations and sliding panels are what make these board books appealing. On each page there is a question, such as "Who drives about in an ambulance?" On the facing page, a picture of an ambulance slides apart to reveal an anthropomorphized mouse, who answers the question with "I do! I'm a paramedic!" The question-and-answer format is followed throughout both titles. Youngsters will enjoy sliding the panels over and over. Who Pretends? includes some French phrases, such as "En garde!" and "Voila!," which add flair to the basic text. Welcome additions.?Elizabeth Trotter, Scott County Public Library, Georgetown, KY
