Thanks to MCA we have the definitive John Mayall collection which collects32 of his best tracks while recording for ABC Records. Drivin' On: The ABC Years 1975 To 1982 also features 4 unreleased live tracks with both former John Mayall Bluesbreakers members, Former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor & still current Fleetwood Mac member bassist John McVie. These tracks "Hard Times Again," Looking Out For Willie," My Time After Awhile" & Howling Moon" are killer performances recorded in Washington D.C. June '82 on their U.S. tour. Also featured is a single edit of John's '75 debut ABC Records single " Step Into The Sun". The remaining cuts show John at his ultimate best with the strongest cuts picked from his past ABC Records LP's to conclude this new 2 CD set. Exceptional unreleased pixs & superb liner notes with quotes from John on this period's music are well documented. A must for any John Mayall fan. A must! |
