Editorial Reviews

Review

"At a time when a lot of what economists produce is not useful to the understanding of reality, Kirzner's work is a great lesson in the way economics can contribute to the understanding of actual market phenomena.... Kirzner has immensely contributed to the resurgence of Austian ideas in the last decades, and this book is another instance of his invaluable contribution.."
-Frederic Sautet, "Ideas on Liberty
"A masterly essay...However much one may disagree with Profesor Kirzner on various points, one cannot but admire the painstaking skill in conceptual analysis he displays in this outstanding book. -The Mises Review, David Gordon, Vol. 7, No. 1, Spring 2001."

Israel Kirzner's last book about economic theory is consists of a collection of articles published during the 90's. Most of these articles are of high quality and demonstrates the differences between modern market process theory and traditional mathematical economics. He retired in 2000 and many of these papers represent his last contributions to economics. As result they show the more mature side of the author, when he reflects over the critiques and commentaries of his work and the more refined version of his ideas. Which are in my opinion the cutting edge of modern economic science.

This books is a must have for any serious study of modern Austrian economics. Highly recommended.
