3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a look, but hit the library first., January 7, 2000
This review is from: Droll Science: Being a Treasury of Whimsical Characters, Laboratory Levity, and Scholarly Follies (Hardcover)
I picked up this book in a used bookstore. The absolutely horrid cover design and the intriguing title attracted me. There are some really funny bits in here, and they are made many times better if you have background in science, medicine, academia, or even a technical profession. However, I would recommend picking it up used or checking it out from your library before you consider buying it...there are some rather bland passages and some truly terrible writing in spots. I enjoy this sort of book, but I would not pay the full cover price for it.
