We rescued this feeder from my father's trash after he thought it was "worn out" and needed replacing. At that time it was about 8 years old and the only thing that was "wrong" was that the tube had discolored a bit from the sun. Other than that, it was completely fine. That was two or three years ago and today is still going strong. Like another reviewer stated, it does hold a huge amount of seed, so refills are done less often. This Droll Yankee feeder is well worth it's price.

I have been buying droll yankee bird feeders for many, many years (different sizes for various birds.

These feeders are made to last (even with many squirrels competing for the food).

Over the years they have improved them so they are not such a burden to clean. In fact,
they are quite easy to clean.

I tried others but replaced them quickly because they did not last. This is the only bird

This is the second of these I've bought in a few months. I have three others, one I can't remember how old it is. They are all at least 8 yrs and going strong. The two I've just replaced have gone from house to house with us.They hold a good amt, they're easy to clean and you can put just about any type of seed in them comfortably. Droll Yankee makes the best products going.

Droll Yankee is the cadillac of all tube feeders, so I had to replace the one I've used since the 1980s. Seems a stray deer attacked it one night. I couldn't be happier with the new feeder and the service I received from Amazon.com. And my backyard birds are happiest of all!

The only brand bird feeders I buy...they stand up to the elements and whatever else comes at them!

This is the third Droll Yankee feeder we have purchased and we have been very happy with it. The birds seem to like it too. The larger size cuts down on the number of trips out to fill it up. Our smaller model A-6 feeder runs out long before this one does.

Sunflower Seeds definitely attract some "larger" Birds: Purple Finchs, Crossbills, Grousbecks,etc.

The feeder Ports and Perchs are far too close together to enable larger Species to access the Sunflower seeds in the Ports.

Product is well constructed, with excellent Seed capacity. But the larger Species face a difficult "struggle", which often leaves them "Out to Lunch" at dinner time!!!!

Bird watching is a fairly new experience for me. I started by buying around 15 different bird feeders from Amazon. Being a novice, I did not know about bird feeder quality but I did notice that all the feeders that I bought were made in China and I wondered if they were the exclusive bird feeder manufacturer. I hung most of the feeders in the back yard and a few in the front yard. On a good day I would see one bird feeding in the front and two or, rarely, three in the back. I started reading reviews on other feeders and learned that some are made in the USA and that led me to Droll Yankees. I bought this one and hung it in the back yard in the place where a Brome feeder had been hanging. After hanging it and walking perhaps three steps away I noticed a bird landing on the optional tray. Withing an hour there were five birds feeding on this Droll Yankees feeder. Clearly, birds prefer feeders made in the USA. I had purchased an Aspects (made in the USA) feeder as well and now they are both crowded with varius types of birds and my other feeders are completely ignored. Now I know why the feeders made in China are less expensive. It is because they are junk compared to Droll Yankees or Aspects feeders. I am now on a replacement campaign and so far have purchased three more Droll Yankees feeders.

The USA-made feeders are somewhat more costly but well worth the price. Not only are they superb quality feeders but they are bird magnets and, as a bonus, they keep some jobs here in our country. Try one of the Droll Yankees feeders and you will see what a champ looks like. You and the birds will love it.
