Got this with help of a gift certificate.In Pacific Nowth West the great need is to protect the feed from the almost constant winter rains rather than squirels. This feeder works well ONLY IF you first SEAL THE TOP WITH SILICONE CALKING where the shaft enters the top assembly. Otherwise the water follows the brass shaft down to the seed. There seems to be ample shelter for the seed from wind and rain otherwise. I am planning to get a second feeder like this soon.

I use this to keep away the rock doves that are real pigs and eat up the seed. This is adjustable for all kinds of seed and birds.
