This unit holds 10 ounces of nectar and has four feeding ports, enabling you to view hummingbirds from any angle. For added security, nectar guard tips are included to virtually eliminate contamination from insects. The central ant moat can be filled with water to prevent ants from reaching the nectar and four small perches allow hummingbirds a place to rest and dine. The snap fit cover keeps the feeder stable when hung, and the U.V. stabilized, polycarbonate construction will last for several seasons. Use the included port brush to keep the item clean. This feeder may be hung with the included hanger or pole mounted using a threaded adaptor (not included). Have owned this feeder for 3+ years. Had a squirrel attack several years ago...they chewed up the flowers around the feeding ports. I e-mailed the company(Droll Yankees) and they replaced these parts free of charge. I live in a very hot climate and noticed recently that the lower plastic bowl had developed a crack/leak. E-mailed the company and received a reply the very next day stating that the replacement bowl was in the mail; again free of charge.
Great company to deal with; also have the "droll yankee flipper" birdfeeder and have been equally satisfied.

I love watching hummingbirds, and have a variety of flowers in my yard to attract them, but still like having a feeder to back up the flowers (my bee balm is very prone to mildew and doesn't last the summer.) This feeder is easy to fill, and better yet, it is easy to keep clean, which is important for the health of the birds you are feeding. It is very easy to clean this one out because the entire lid lifts off and it doesn't have a narrow neck or odd bends or feeding tubes. Furthermore the reservoir is clear, and it is easy to see the level of solution and its state.

This is really what I've been searching for. A hummingbird feeder that's easy to clean. Droll Yankees makes quality products and I prefer their brand. But the real test comes from the hummers themselves. I had two of these in my yard this year. One had the included bee guards installed, and one didn't. From what I've observed, the hummers were always going to the one without the bee guards, even if they had to fight with the bees. The ant moat seems to work great. Jim Rossi
