When placing the order for a Droll Yankees bird feeder I thought it would be a nice touch to have a suet feeder as well. The info was that the Droll Yankees suet feeder could be installed below the bird feeder by replacing the Droll Yankees threaded plug that holds the tray to the feeder. This Droll Yankees hook was suggested as the replacement item. I am not sure what I expected for the $8.49 cost of this hook but I was certainly expecting more than a cheap looking piece of plastic. Yes, it does screw into the bottom of the feeder and yes, it does provide a way to hang the suet feeder. In addition, it is made in the USA and that is a good thing. But, $8.49 for an itty bitty piece of plastic? Gimme a break. There are a lot of less expensive ways to hang this suet feeder with its 19" chain.

I took off one star because of the plastic material. At such an outrageous price it should have been at the very least made of stainless steel. I took off another star because the hook is not in any way worth $8.49. I don't mind at all paying extra for quality products and the Droll Yankees feeders are expensive but are quality products. This hook is a rip-off.

This is the best hook I think I've ever owned. My wife and kids seem to think so too. When it arrived, we gathered the friends and family for the grand opening of the package containing the hook. Ooohs and Aaahs were abundantly flowing from the amazed audience. Thank you, Droll Yankees, for providing such an outstanding hook for my hooking pleasure.
