This is a large clear dome that does not obstruct the view of the feeder and helps keep the seed dry when it rains. Nice to be able to adjust the brass rod to adjust somewhat how high or low the feeder hangs below the dome. The squirrels have tried but. so far. haven't been able to get to the feeder as the dome turns on the rod when they stretch down from the tree branch and put their front feet on it. They can't get a grip and the shelled sunflower seed is lasting longer; now the birds get it! Because they have been so entertaining, we put up a tray feeder to treat the squirrels.

As Advertised. Have not had a squirrel get on the feeder since installing the guard. Ozbo,com was prompt in delivering the purchase.

I bought this item to keep acrobatic squirrels out of my suet feeder. I have tried several other approaches, including similar covers, but the squirrels defeated them all. The cover has been up for several months with no successful squirrel attacks. This cover works because it is deep enough so the suet cake can be placed above the rim and the cover won't tip when the animal lands on top of it.
I used plastic covered wire to hang the cover because I have had squirrels smart enough to bite through nylon rope.

At first I was disappointed because after about fifteen tries a squirrel learned how to grab the feeder after diving from the baffle, and continued to do so successfully at all degrees of rod adjustment. I think I've got a working setup now, though. I raised the horizontal wire from which the feeder hangs, and added a new two foot vertical length of wire to the base of the baffle rod, so that by the time the squirrel is in reach of the feeder, it was fallen two or three body lengths and is going too fast to grab. Currently, there are a pair of squirrels making repeated attempts at it, every time, so far, missing and falling nearly ten feet, which has yet to deter either in the slightest.

The baffle appears to be well made and of quality materials, but for the price I was hoping it would shine out of the box.
