For these peaceful birds, Droll Yankees created a durable bird feeder with the thistle, or nyjer, seed that finches enjoy and other birds abhor.
Thoughtfully-designed, the feeder features stainless-steel wire, armored bands, and metal die casting to help keep squirrels and other pesky critters out of the feeder. A UV-stabilized polycarbonate tube resists coloring while providing long-lasting support. The seed baffle ensures steady seed access for birds, while eight feeding ports control seed flow for greater conservation. Metal perches are placed with care by each port to accommodate the specific physicality of the finch. For additional accessories or trays, Droll Yankees has equipped the feeder with a threaded base for easy attachment.
Users should regularly clean the feeder with equal parts water and white vinegar to protect birds from bacteria and disease. Wet or moldy food also may host germs and should be replaced. Do not use chemicals on the bird feeder due to risk of poisoning. For best results, hang the bird feeder near trees and bushes rather than in the open. We are shameless bird feeder collectors. Sadly, so many of those feeders wind up in the basement collecting dust. This feeder is fabulous. There is always a crowd and squirrels can't get the seed. A MUST-HAVE near a kitchen window!

This is a great feeder. For the build quality and keeping squirrels at bay. The finches love the feeder and thistle seed. You won't go wrong if you buy the TH-3.
