it is a delight to have this hummingbird feeder attached to the window by my chair. to watch them drink from this feeder, see their long tongues come out and drink the nectar is a thrill. They can rest their wings.

My only problem is sharing the veiw with my two cats who also watch in facination. the birds seem to know the window seperates them from each other and continue to eat. I am not sharing well, but, do allow them their dream that they just might be able to catch them.

This is in our motor home. I will order a larger one when we get home.

Like most people I really enjoy Hummingbirds. When I lived in the St. Louis, MO area we only saw one species (the Ruby-Throated) but here in South Texas we get a few more, especially during migration. One thing to keep in mind is that Hummingbirds are VERY territorial and since males are the more colorful of the species you might want to have several feeders around your home in order to see as many as possible during the Hummingbird season.

The trick with multiple feeders is to place each of them in a spot where they cannot be seen from any of the others. This way one bird won't try to claim all of them and chase the others away. That is why I like this window mounted feeder. I have several of them placed on windows all around my place. Hummingbirds are pretty bold and often come to the feeder when my face is just inches away from the window. During the summer I have attracted at least 10 residents and I get even more in the early spring when others are just passing through. I have owned many other feeders over the years but I learned the hard way to stick with Droll Yankee. Their quality is worth the few dollars more.

I've used this feeder for two seasons, and it's still working fine. The hummingbirds like it a lot--see my photo above of a hummingbird, butterfly and wasp sharing it. Since it only holds 6 ounces, I have to refill it every day or two. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the price: I only have one of this model, but I have four Opus model 455 window feeders, since they hold more nectar and cost about half as much. I received this hummingbird feeder for Mother's Day and was extremely disappointed when I filled it up and it leaked like a sieve around the silver rim. We returned it to Amazon and they sent a replacement which was obviously a slightly different model since it was colored and no longer had the 'silver' rim....it worked fantastic until I refilled it to the brim.....and then I noticed it leaking again...My mom was reading the instructions and even though it specifies that it holds 6 ounces, it does not warn you to only put that amount into it.....the key is to only put 6 ounces into the feeder. It will hold more but if you place more into it, it leaks...I have had no problem when I measure out 6 ounces. It is easy to hang and I have swarms of hummingbirds in the morning and at sunset to enjoy. We enjoy it so much, that I am going to get another for my father-in-law for Father's Day.

We bought this hummingbird feeder about 3 weeks ago. Within hours of filling and installing it on our parked motorhome window the hummingbirds began visiting. They have no problems reaching the nectar solution until it gets nearly to the bottom. Some of the birds will perch on the rim to feed.

The model we received seems to be an improved one and we have had absolutely no problems with leaking. This model is clear on the bottom and red on the top half but when it is filled with nectar it looks bright red throughout which really attracts the hummingbirds. The suction cup holder stays securely stuck to the window (once I forgot to take the unit down before driving off and lucky for me it stayed put until I stopped several miles later!) The unit is also very easy to remove and clean.

This is a great feeder if you like to take photos of the birds feeding because the feeding ports are set to the sides giving full visibility of the birds as they hover to feed. Highly recommended!

I love this Hummer feeder. It brings the Hummers right up to the window for great views of these amazing birds. The feeder is easy to install, easy to clean, and easy to refill. It has two places for the Hummers to perch and feed. I highly recommend this feeder!

The WH2 window feeder, although costly for what it is, is a good design, especially since it employs the "nipple" protectors for the two ports. Ants always seem to find a way to the sugary water, and inevitably there are some who fall into the reservoir and eventually die there. Couple that with the struggle to keep the nectar mold free, and I find feeding hummingbirds to be more maintenance than for most seed feeders. With the nipples, Droll Yankee has created a functional block for the ants entry into the nectar reservoir. The presence of ants usually deters the birds from feeding. I like the moat around the feeder idea also, but am concerned about creating a mosquito breeding site with the still water in the moat of other window type feeders. At the third refill (needs cleaning and refilling after every 4 days), Ruby throated hummingbirds showed up and have been visiting periodically here in Richmond, Virginia. Nice feeder, easy to see the birds.

This feeder is great. I love that you can detach it from the window without removing the suction cups. It is sturdy and does not leak. The hummingbirds seem to enjoy it as well.

I've been feeding the hummingbirds for years, and I've tried a lot of feeders. I like both hanging feeders and window-mount feeders. I also have Garden Jewels® 455-3 14-Ounce Glass Window Mounted Hummingbird Feeder, which is wonderful. But this does have a couple advantages.

It isn't as heavy and some people have had issues with mounting the glass bottles. I have not, but I still consider it a plus. This doesn't have any yellow on it either, so it doesn't attract wasps as easily. It's very easy to clean (even comes with a little scrubbing brush) and to fill.

Don't get me wrong; I love the Garden Jewels feeder too, and recommend it. It does hold more nectar. But with this feeder, the reservoir and feeding ports are all one piece. And that means no reservoir to block your view of the hummingbirds, right THERE at your window.

Heck, get both. The more the merrier. This is hands down a great feeder!

This hummingbird feeder keeps them coming back for more. It has been on my window for many months now and has not showed any sign of coming lose or becoming wobbly. If you follow the directions on how to apply the suction cups, it should be very sturdy. The design is excellent and very inconspicious on my patio window. Great simple hummingbird feeder. Great price too.
