Amazon Reader Reviews of Mystery, Thriller & Suspense: “Drop Dead Killers”: A mystery and suspense detective mystery with a serial killer, conspiracies and intrigue and a detective murder case, a fiction story about a serial killer:

"Drop Dead Killers is an excellent intro to what I hope will be many more David Graham Thrillers from Ms. Martinez. The story line starts off fast with non stop action. No reading for several chapters to get the background in this book!! I couldn't put it down!! It is full of evil actions and revenge. Ms. Martinez's writing style is very vivid and you can "see" the story line unfold. In some instances in this book, that can sometimes be a little scary!! Definitely not a book for kids or teens. I highly suggest it to any one who enjoys mysteries or detective novels!! Thank You Ms. Martinez, looking forward to your next David Graham Thriller!!

"I thought the characters were a bit confusing at first. I had a little trouble keeping up with who’s who. After that, though, the story moved right along and kept me reading. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries. You won’t be disappointed.”

“The book caught me from the first chapter. I haven't finished the book yet but I have read enough to give it 4 stars and let ya'll know it ia a good mystery/drama. I look forward to finishing this book and to reading more David Graham thrillers.”

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced thrilling murder mystery! July 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Drop Dead Killers: A David Graham Thriller (David Graham Thrillers)
by Janet Martinez

David Graham is a police officer investigating the case of a serial killer. This killer is targeting high powered Attorneys in Washington D.C. But David is blinded by lust and can't see that his new girlfriend is dangerous. He is more concerned about fending off a past girlfriend.

A fast paced murder mystery. I liked David, he is not perfect, he is flawed, which makes him more real(in my opinion). I highly recommend to those who like murder/mystery stories.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Quick Read! August 1, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I rceived a copy of this book from the author thru LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.
Drop Dead Killers is a very quick fun mystery thriller to read. The author will have you hooked with te first murder. The plot of the book is very simple and the characters are not well developed or likeable, except for the hero cop (David). The ending was very good and should lead to further adventures with David. I would recommend this book to all adult mystery readers. I will be looking for other books by this author.

3.0 out of 5 stars a quick read is a good read July 13, 2014

I received a review copy of this book from the author
A very quick and easy read, with not a lot of effort required.
It is a rather stark, and plot driven novel with only limited description given when necessary.
There is very little depth to most of the characters, even the hero, homicide detective David Graham is only covered superficially to keep the story moving, even though he is to be the hero 0f the mystery/ thriller series.
Sometimes a quick read is a good read

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun read! July 10, 2014

I was also given this book in return for a review. This was a fun book, no serious or heavy thinking required. I didn't give it five stars since the story was very predictable, but the characters were fun, with some you could easily hate.

For disclosure: I received this book in return for reading and reviewing it. This book is a mystery/thriller/police procedural. I can honestly say that I loved this book. The author had me hooked from the first killing. This plot has some twists and turns, so that I can’t say too much without giving out spoilers. Some of the twists were easy to figure out, but others were definitely unexpected. The author created well-written characters. The murder victims were mostly unpleasant people, and the murderers were frightening. I would definitely recommend this book to others, and look forward to other books in this series.

This is the first in a projected series of mystery novels, featuring a homicide detective, David Graham, who lives and works in Washington, D.C. The purported author of this series in a woman, Janet Martinez, but if I were to run a contest for "Mysteries Most Likely Written by a Man," this one should at least be a finalist. Why do I say that? The female characters come across as something out of a male fantasy. Almost all are gorgeous and unscrupulous, and a couple are downright homicidal. In the world of this book, women marry for money, not love, and if they are brutally beaten by their spouse, they come back for more, repeatedly, because they value money more than personal safety, love or human dignity.

The main male character is supposed to be a dreamboat, although he seems to treat women with a love-'em-and-leave-'em abandon that is similar to that displayed by the book's antihero.

The plot of the book is unlikely in the extreme. The murderer in the book is supposedly out to punish one man who "done her wrong," but she goes about this in the most circuitous and illogical manner possible, slaughtering people that she -- or someone else! -- feels are worthy of death due to things like rudeness or swiping food from secretaries' desks. It would seem that the author believes that wanton serial killers are most often women and the result of spousal battery. By the way, nobody ever seems really upset (momentarily at most) by the death of another character.

The murderer is so adept at changing her appearance that while in most scenes she is extremely tall and thin -- willowy, in another she is described as short, overweight, and dumpy. No fat suit is ever mentioned.
