Biography

XP8 is Marco Visconti and Marko Resurreccion.

What Benny Benassi is for pink-shirt-wearing mainstream girls, XP8 is for the alternative electro scene: and Italy's most successful export in that field, these days.

The band, started in 2001 as a trio including previous singer Paul Toohill, composes an airy blend of EBM, electronica, techno and trance, bringing their various visions and talents to life… Read more in Amazon's XP8 Store

3.0 out of 5 stars Drop the Mask, November 9, 2010
This review is from: Drop the Mask (Audio CD)
I am fairly new to XP8. I started getting into the Italian EBM band with their previous album The Art of Revenge. I recently bought their latest album Drop the Mask. Drop the Mask quickly picks up where The Art of Revenge left off. The music is melodic and danceable but there really isn't anything about the album that makes it stand out with me. The album is uneven for me. "One Pill Missing" is one of the weaker tracks on the album with the generic beats, mediocre vocals, and subpar lyrics. The next track "Breathe the Poison In" has a nice strong crisp, synth beat.I wish the rest of the album had strong beats as what I heard in that song. Lack of memorable pop hooks is what really makes Drop the Mask a mild disappointment for me. It isn't the worst album I have heard but it isn't as good as a lot of albums I have heard this year. I think the guys in XP8 can come up with better material than what I heard here.
